    Great product. Good picture quality. Monthly subscription is not that bad at 12.99 month definitely worth it.

    Can't onboard cameras on 2.4Ghz with COMCAST modem

    Requires separate 2.4Ghz network name (SSID) to onboard the cameras. New COMCAST modems use a single network name for both bands and automatically band steer to 5GHz causing cameras to not see your laptop during the onboard process. The only way around it is to temporarily disable the 5GHz radio on the COMCAST modem and force both the laptop and cameras to the same band.

    I really like these cameras and the application part where you can adjust motion sensitivity and also specify a designated area for motion detection, e.g. tree leave motion in an area can be removed. The mobile application did not have a way to select ALL videos, but going on my computer did allow it via the Arlo website.

    I bought the starter pack along with a 3 camera wireless pack.although the cameras work very well,battery life sucks! I have them set to about the lowest settings for active recordings, the batteries dont last more than 48 hrs.if i could redo the purchase,id definitely get hard wired.as for recordings,they are saved to a cloud service for 15 bucks a month for up to 5 cameras,almost 3 bucks for each additional camera.i was more pleased with my older nightowl system."upgraded" because the nightowl dvr took a crap.looking to buy another dvr or get mine repaired.

    The cameras were easily setup and installed. I had a couple of communication issues but they seem to have gone away after using the cameras for a couple of weeks. Battery life is looking to be closer to six weeks than six months.

    The cameras it self are awesome, but the battery life SUCKS!!! I am constantly changing out the batteries and I hate worrying about if my cameras are charged. If you can buy a solar panel to go with this, then you are golden.

    I bought these cameras to keep an idea on my house. The batteries meant I didn’t need to run power to the cameras so that was a great plus. The images are clear. I get great alerts. Works without a hub since the cameras connect via WiFi

    Camera battery only survives around two days in a higher traffic area, the stand/part that connects the camera to a wall is cheaply made and everything but the base of the only working camera fell off during heavy wind, two of the three cameras wouldn’t connect to wifi at all(so I have been unable to use them). I 100% regret this purchase, but it was my mistake as I had a previous Arlo set, and those didn’t work at all. I should have returned them, but never really got around to it. Definitely would not purchase again.

    Cameras unusable. Don't buy until firmware fixed

    I have 6 of Arlo Pro4 cameras. Following a recent firmware update, my cameras have become unusable. The cameras spontaneously disconnect from the WiFi network and, therefore, do not transmit any data. The batteries drain in a matter of hours, apparently attempting to reconnect to the WiFi network. I have manually reset my cameras a number of times. Most of the time resetting the camera will cause the camera to reconnect to the WiFi network temporarily, but within 10 minutes or maybe up to 8 hours, the camera recycles offline again. A number of Arlo camera owners are experiencing this problem of the camera spontaneously cycling offline and none of us has been able to get help from the support desk. Arlo makes a nice camera, but until they figure out how to fix their firmware problems you should not buy this camera. It does not work.

    Great home cameras without all the wiring. You need steady Wi-Fi to optimize cameras. Still waiting to see how they hold up vs super cold weather during second winter installed at our place

    Customer service answered all of my questions before buying the Arlo Pro 4. However, I wasn't aware that wi-fi (2.4) is needed for these to operate, which limited where these could be placed. That said, even if you do have wi-wi present, it might not want to pick up on the signal. One location worked out fine and the install was relatively up front after downloading the Arlo app. The other location for the security camera on the other hand does not want to connect and operate (even though we get good wi-fi connection there.) Tried trouble shooting through the app with no luck. So we have 2 out of 3 security cameras right now in use. Because of this - 3 stars.

    If you buy just make sure you plan on using their subscription service. The AI and battery life doesn’t work well with out it. With the subscription the batteries last crazy long. Work the money honestly. I caught someone breaking in my garage while at work and used the app to notify the police.

    There is a delay of at least 30 seconds, not good! I cannot view the video on my laptop and the battery life is a joke-1 week, sometimes less. They're better than nothing I guess.
