Their review was based on the prior model, the Pro 4 for wireless outdoor cameras. But the Pro 5 offers better battery life and it also supports dual-band Wi-Fi. So I felt this was even better. It was purchased as a gift to my daughter, who has noted an increase of automobile break-ins in her neighborhood for vehicles parked outdoors at night. This will ease both our anxieties. This camera offers their opinion of the best combination of detailed video performance, specialized alerts, and easy installation. And it is compatible with all the Smart Home systems widely used (notably including Apple HomeKit, Google, Alexa, etc.)

The app is also much easier to use, more intuitive, and much more useful than the Blink system. Overall definitely would recommend for an out of box system

I decided to upgrade and did not realize that you NEED a subscription for these cameras. I feel like Arlo is a scam now. Before without a subscription you had your videos for 7 days. Now the cameras don't even save a video for 1 hour. So you have cameras but can't see ANY recordings unless you pay monthly. Arlo should tell you that they changed the system completely. Other than that the cameras are good but what is the point if you can't see any saved videos without paying monthly?

Camera quality is not good

The camera quality is my biggest issue, detail get muddy and blurry at 6ft away from the camera. while it brags about pinch to zoom its a useless feature if you need to be able to zoom to see someone or something but you cant because they look like they dont have a face. Very disappointed.

Also had to separate my WiFi 2.4 and 5 GHz as you need the 2.4 GHz to install. Once it’s up and running I’ve been happy. Getting there was tedious.
