Expensive answer to an Arlo problem
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have Arlo cameras in southern Florida and it seems that the humidity there caused 3 of my 4 cameras to stop working to charge the battery (you can see corrosion on the connector inside the camera cover). So i had to spend $$$ for this charger just so I can use the $$$$ Arlo cameras.

I used it twice, charging a total of 4 batteries. it was fast charging, taking about 3 -6 hours per battery(they were brand new, had different levels of charge). I went to use it again yesterday, and its dead. it won't charge anything at all. I know the batteries are okay, because I can plug the camera in with a micro USB and it charges fine. slowly, but it works. luckily for best buy it died right after the return window closed. an excellent 50$ paperweight which puts 2 cameras out of commission at a time while they charge. avoid this item, save yourself from throwing it in the garbage.

Half Good / Half Bad

Only one side charges every time. The second side will charge if there is not another battery in the other side. Good concept. Just a flawed design.

hate the idea of a charger that cost more

Especially when you can spend up to $900 for a pack of these security cameras.
