    Arlo doorbell camera is wonderful a bit different from another I've used before they actually call your cell phone, not just a chime you may miss.

    I have this doorbell on my front door however it's hit or miss with it recording movement!! I checked all the settings and still haven't been able to figure out why or what to do to make it work full time!

    Very good device. Easy to set up and add to my existing app. Only flaw is the audio is sometimes unintelligible.

    I purchased this Arlo doorbell camera to replace my Nest doorbell. Installation was super easy into the Arlo app. I have other Arlo cameras that I think are amazing. This doorbell is not up to the standards of the other cameras. The video quality is much lower than my Nest doorbell. This is the same whether day or night. I have adjusted the settings and have not been able to achieve the quality I expected. The Arlo doorbell was a great value compared to the Nest doorbell. However, I am disappointed in the overall quality.

    I can't write a review because you can't set it up unless you pay up front. Ring gives you 30 days and I confirmed that because I returned this and bought the ring. Which works great

    Doesn’t integrate with existing systems

    This doorbell is not compatible with Apple HomeKit and you can’t even add it to your existing Arlo SmartHub! (SmartHub integration would allow it to connect to HomeKit, in theory.) Basically, Arlo is charging more money for a camera with fewer capabilities. I returned this AVD4001 and fortunately found an AVD1001 on clearance that works with my existing setup.

    I ordered this video doorbell because I have other Arlo cameras, and I figured one app for all would be most convenient. However, the video doorbell comes with a free trial of Arlo secure, which lasts 30 days. At the end of 30 days, unless you’re going to subscribe for $7.99-$12.99/month, you’re out of luck. The video doorbell stops working or sending you notifications or recording altogether. Then Best Buy will tell you that you cannot return it because it’s past the 14 day return window. Plus, it only has detection for 13 feet, my other Arlo cameras detect motion at 30 feet. So I wouldn’t know if someone delivered a package and left it at the end of my walk with this doorbell. I packaged it up and paid for shipping and Best Buy ended up giving me my money back. Not recommended, it was a big hassle.
