||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I switched from Ring to Arlo. I wish Ring have higher quality camera. This camera is 2K it's good, however it lags a lot and when you try to respond a bell ring tends to freeze and not work. The battery connected to the home original bell electrical cables works well and has not died on me yet. The app is paid to record so that is also a downside and is not user friendly lacking on options etc.

Decent doorbell, but extra features cost

Also while the video quality was great there was delay in live mode and I didn't like how when someone rang the doorbell it gave me an actual phone call. I plan to add video cameras next and I just preferred another brand and decided not to invest in the Arlo ecosystem. Maybe someone's cup of tea, just not mine

The camera quality and the activity detection that the Arlo Doorbell has is AMAZING. It is so clear and the app is so easy to use! Personally, I feel that the security level it offers is a bit higher and better with Arlo.
