Customers commend ARMS' surprisingly deep and fun gameplay, phenomenal motion controls, and ease of use, making it enjoyable for players of all skill levels. Many appreciate the colorful characters and find the game's difficulty to be a satisfying challenge. However, some wish for more content and find the price point to be a bit high, while others would like to see more single-player options.

Highly original, held back by lack of content
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Arms is a refreshing new concept for a fighting game from Nintendo. Some old school gamers may recognize aspects of the gameplay from some older mecha fighting games, in particular the Virtual On series. Fighters square off in a 3D arena, with their eponymous Arms as their only weapons. A variety of arms can be equipped with different stats and abilities. The object, of course, is to KO your opponent. Game modes vary from traditional 1v1, 2v2, a point-based, target shooting mode, amongst others. The only lobby system is very well done, and ensures that you never have to wait long before getting tossed into one of these game modes with another player. This brings us to my main issue with the game. It was clearly built around this online component, as there is precious little to do offline, but the nature of the gameplay combined with the games substandard netcode and the Switch's poor wifi reception make it a very frustrating, un-fun experience if there is even a hint of lag. Even with my fiber connection, the games where lag is an issue outnumber those that aren't. The bright side here is that Nintendo has promised that it will continue to patch and provide free content for Arms. Unless you have a group of friends interested in playing this game locally, I would probably hold off until their reveal or release that additional content to see if the game will be worthwhile in the long run.

Surprised at how deep this game really is!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. At first I thought this game was just about throwing punches and dodging. This game actually requires strategy to time and land your attacks. You win by learning your opponents' movements and properly timing your attacks. The party match is the most fun especially playing with your friend beside you. You guys can randomly team up or go 1v1 with other players while one of you spectate. Just try this game.

Enjoying this a lot!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After reading many reviews, before release mind you, I really wanted to give this game a try. Having now played it for some time, I'm glad I picked this up. It's quite a bit more challenging and physically engaging than I thought it would be, requiring a good bit of coordination to do well at higher levels. Is it a must have? I don't know if I'd go that far. Is it worth considering/trying? Definitely!

Great for my Tween son
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My son's top 3 game for the switch. I think it takes a while to build experience and get access to better "arms", but he enjoys the game alone or with a friend.

Best family and pro game on the switch
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.whether you are looking for a pro competitive game, or sit around with the family and box it out, this game is a must own game for any switch player. There is countless hours and unlocks to play to keep you busy for a couple months. Plus with the promised DLC characters to be launched, I see this game as an overwatch competitive like game for the switch. Ribbon girl is the best person to start with!

Unique New Fighting Game rocks!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Arms has tons of replayability. You choose from one of 25ish or so characters and then fight, using the joycons to punch! It's super fun with friends and online - the depth is definitely there if you want it to be, just be aware that online play is filled with people a lot better than you. Practice and enjoy this game for what is it - a unique new fighter that deserves your attention.

Very intuitive controls.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The character design is the most creative and memorable that Nintendo has ever done in my opinion, which gives the game personality. The controls are very intuitive and when executed flawlessly, feel very rewarding. Dont be turned off by the motion control aspect, just get the game and as soon as you fire that bad boy up you'll be swinging wildly without a care in the world.

Switch Release IP=A great one for the collection
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game is definitely fun, very polished, and does a great job of highlighting the capabilities of the Switch. Even 3 years later, it still looks and plays fantastic. It’s not my preferred genre of gaming by any means, but as a collector the significance of a Nintendo IP launch title is worth 5 stars in physical form.

Game is decent
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Game is quite fun. Controls are really fun, actually, but the main flaw in this game it is quite short and repetitive. Think like Punch Out.
