Arris works for me
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As a Luddite, I was somewhat wary of buying this. But, as a customer of xfinity, I was tired of spending $14 a month for theirs, and I am now saving money. And, so far, after several months, and even several ice storm power outages, the Arris keeps working, and working well. I am pleased I finally did this - after several years of "thinking it over." Best Buy gave me good advice - and this product seems to be a good for for me.

Great product and service from Arris and BestBuy

No problems at all. Solid whole house coverage from both 2.4 and 5 G wireless in a three bedroom townhouse. This purchase was a recommendation from the BestBuy sales associate. He listened to my needs and made a great recommendation.

Get What You Pay For (On All Ends)
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great combo router/modem - up to 600mbps! Make sure your supplier is providing you a speed that warrants the puchase - no point paying for a 600mbps router if you're only paying for 100mbps. There are plenty cheaper options if that's all you need. On the other hand, if you're looking for a higher speed that you're paying for, make sure you're not getting capped out by this router which can only provide 600. Also make sure your ethernet cords (if cabled) support the speeds. Otherwise, no problems so far, had it about a month. Consistent, high speed performance!

Do Not Call Comcast
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was told this would not work by a Comcast rep. They help me set the modem up and it did not work. I could not do anything to get this setup. I believe she did something on her end to now make it work. After having this modem for a month I went back and got a higher model. Do the fact f this one not working and I that want something with better speeds. The new one is working fine and I was able to set it up without the help of the Comcast rep. In short, do not call Comcast to set up this modem. Do the self-install method.

Great alternative to renting
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this to save $14 on my monthly rental of a modem/router. Was easy to hook up (but read the instructions...we didn’t and would have saved time calling Comcast). Noticed no change in upload or download speeds from the Comcast box. Will pay for itself in rental speeds in no time. Almost bought a Motorola one that was a bit cheaper. It would’ve worked now but technology was so old would have likely become obselete in a few years so I am glad I double checked with the sales person.

Fine for my usage and what I was looking for
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Have had the router for one month. For a dual band router, there are more expensive options. This one was at a Price point that I needed and works fine.

Beats "renting" one from the cable company.
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Beats "renting" one from the cable company. Good signal. No drop outs in 2000 sf home. Better than the cable company stock unit.
