Bought this to replace an older Netgear. Signal from the previous router dropped off at the back of the house. With this, the signal is clear and strong throughout the house. Set up was easy. Be sure to call your cable support line so they can add the router to your account.

easy set up - plugged in, used code - wifi works fine for all devices

Not only was it very easy to set up and worked seamlessly, I was able to get this via overnight delivery when my modem essentially went bust one day. Had I not gotten this overnight on Saturday for a Sunday delivery, I may not have been able to work (from home) on Monday. Best Buy's competitors don't seem to think that internet is essential. Luckily Best Buy understands customer needs!

We have had this gateway for about 3 weeks and it has worked well for us so far. Set up was easy and took less than 5 minutes.we originally got it for 200mbps but a few days ago we got a free upgrade to 300mbps and the gateway has had no issues handling it. If you just need a basic one, this is a great value.

Pros: I purchased this to connect to XFINITY via coaxial cable and then used it for 8 months. My plan was 25 Mbps and I used to get full internet speed during this period. I and my roommate together could connect up to 6 laptops and 4 mobile phones at a time to this router without any significant loss in internet speed on each individual devices. Cons: 1) I recently shifted to another apartment where AT&T provides internet using ONT port. Since , this router doesn’t have ONT port, this router is of no use to me today. 2) This router doesn’t have provision to change its MAC address. Hence if a hacker gets to know the MAC address, he can exploit this weakness in the router and launch cyber attacks or MAC Spoofing easily.

Good speeds, the app is straightforward but also not necessary for setup which is nice. Overall good product and works well with my Xfinity service

Best Buy is offering me points for completing a review, but this does not affect my rating of this product. I had to replace my previous modem because of an electrical storm knocking out that modem. So I had to replace my modem quickly. I bought this and after setting it up and getting it running, I have not had any issues that would upset me. It works perfectly well so far. A modem is not something I want to spend time with - once I get it up and running - I don't want to think about it - it should be like electricity - it just should work all the time. So far, that is what I have experienced except for one day when I had to turn it on and off. Not unusual as I have had other modems and had to do the same thing every once in a while. If something really goes wrong - I will try to post an update in the comments to this review. But so far - I am very happy with this purchase.

Employee review here... The combo modem is very easy to setup with xfinity service and is great for the 400mbps plan. I have a very small 650sqft apartment and the wifi reaches great everywhere. The arris app makes it easy to manage wifi name and password.

Easy to use. Great value. Excellent range for us in a large apartment.

I like this modem because is easy to install and use. It does the job for the wifi. We all can use wifi and my son can be playing without disconnection or any waiting for his game to load. The only bad thing is the average range, it has poor signal in the backyard. In summer I can't use wifi as much as I wanted to. It takes time for youtube to play music.

Great bang for your buck, works great. I can play online games while having my phone connected and my wife on her laptop. No lag in video streaming. Good because its modem and router in 1 so it saves space if you don't have many places to put it. Its on the top floor in the corner of my 2 story house, gets whole house even basement network coverage

works perfectly, I run2 tablets 1 phone 2 tv's and an xbox on wifi and a laptop .I have no issues at all i wired my tv directly in and the older game system. Works perfectly no issues at all sends a great signal i have an upstairs of 1000sq feet and a basement and yard phone (wifi) signal is great .highly recommend great for the price !

This is my third Arris product I've purchased over the years. I owned the Arris Modem and the only reason I had to replace it was due to outdated technology, that's how long I had it. I love this combo product because now I only have one product with duel functionality. It's sleek, easy to set up, and came at an affordable price.

Works AMAZING and was super easy to set up. We got this as a replacement for our other router that was slowly breaking, and the immense improvement made working online so much easier. Haven't had a single problem in the last month or so that I've had this!

Simce the first day I had this modem router, my internet is more reliable and faster! I have ipad, two smart phones, one laptop and one smart tv all time connected to the modem and it is working with no issues. It's worth to mention that, I am living in a small apartment. I am not quite sure if it was a big house.

I replaced my old Netgear with this ARRIS SURFboard, and so far it’s been working great. Setup was easy, the connection is stable, and it works perfectly with my Spectrum internet. The performance and value are excellent for the price — definitely a good buy!

I got thiscomo unit to provision with mediacom internet service, because paying them $11 a month for a modem is a rip off. It runs the 200mbs speed great on both the 2.4ghz and 5g networks. Easy to set up and change the networks. All around a good combo unit.
