I pay for 100 Mbps minimum speed. I am what I would consider a pro-sumer. I do a lot of business at home that requires a lot of speed. With the Charter Spectrum provided modem I was getting 90 Mbps. I decided to try this and now I am getting 120-130 Mbps and consistent download speed of 16.8 MB/s. Very happy with it.

The setup was very easy and I had no problem getting it to work with Comcast. This model does not have the On/Off switch that the other Surfboard modem has. I had that other model and really liked that feature. Also, I brought in a competitor's ad and they took $20 off the price!

The unit was easy to set up. Haven't had any issues with it so far. However, I also did not notice a significant increase in speed, but the bottleneck may be at my wireless router. Still tweaking the setup to take the most advantage of my 50Mbps/sec. Comcast internet.

I was up and running in 30 minutes. It could have been 10 if I knew Time Warner had to register the new modem before it would work.

I bought this to replace an all in one router/Ap that Comcast sent me. This has been faster and more robust ever since. Plus i save $8 a month on the rental fee. If you have a Router and you just want a modem to replace the slow all in one units the cable company sends you this is it. I have the 105Mb service and it's almost always over 124Mb/s

I bought this and a separate router. My gaming, WiFi, and internet are working well. I had a router/modem combo product that was the pits. Though the separates cost more, I would buy them again. Good performance and I haven't had to reset the system at all like i did with the combo product (weekly if not daily).

I only regret that I didn't buy my own modem and set it up years ago! It was easy to install and set up. The hardest part was returning my Comcast modem to eliminate the $8.00 monthly rental charge. It will pay for itself in about 11 months and then save me $96 a year. It is my second Motorola Surfboard modem and I have never had a problem with them.

Install was easy. Time consumer was calling the cable company to verfiy the product. Had an older modem, 2.0 which was slow and freezing when using the PC, a laptop and streaming Netflix. All three items and an ipod operate with easy, after cable company was called. Happy users.

The one time cost of this far outweighed the annual cost from the cable company. The cable device was outdated.

Just look up reviews for this modem anywhere. It is at the top of its class. Plug it in, give it a few seconds, and it works (so long as your ISP activates it). Spend the money to buy this and you won't need anything else for quite a while.

Don't pay Comcast $10 a month to rent something you can own. Spend less than $100 and let your superior product pay for itself.

Purchased the MOTOROLA / ARRIS SURFboard Model SB6141 to transition from AT&T DSL to Comcast cable for internet service. The installation was easy and have had no problems. The personnel in the Best Buy store in Augusta were very helpful and I commend them for their service.

We replaced our Xfinity modem with this model for both better performance as well as saving 10$ a month off our cable bill. I had to call Comcast to activate the modem but it was a quick 20 min phone call. So far so good. Wireless performance seems more responsive and overall we are happy with our purchase 2 weeks in.
