This modem and all surfboards are legit. I have been using them since the dawn of time as far as cable modems go and they've always been aces. This thing was quick and easy setup and came with all the right tools.

This seems to be the best rated and most popular cable modem according to numerous websites. So far so good.

this one did not work for a reason or another. Afraid we'll have to return it: truly nothing wrong with it!

Had this modem for more than a year now and it still works flawlessly! I bought this to replace the one from the cable company and to eliminate the monthly billing for the modem from my account. No complaints.

As long as you are not getting gigabit service this will work fine for speeds up to 300MB. Have been using this for several months and i have found this does not require rebooting as often as my last modem

This device works as advertised. Connects seamlessly with xfinity services. There have been no connectivity issues, and it works well with my Netgear router. Would definitely buy again, especially at $50!

My previous modem was only 2 months old when it died. I bought this one online and was able to run and pick it up at lunch time and sset it up as soon as I got home. Instantly I was back on line. Since then, knock on wood, no problems.

This modem is likely to be the standard for 7-15 years. Given that (and I asked myself this question before buying), why not invest in a modem of your own for $80 and save $480 (versus renting @ $6 per month for a minimum of 7 years)?

I bought this because Comcast decided they wanted to start charging me 10 bucks a month for their horrible modem/wifi router combo. LOL. Nope. This thing makes my internet better, and more reliable. Can't beat that!

I picked this modem up at the nearest Best Buy store, brought it home, plugged it in, contacted my service provider, and in minutes everything was working faster than before.

We purchased this cable modem to replace a Comcast Router, telephone unit. Unfortunately nothing supporting the Comcast cable phone line is avaialble. As a cable router it works great. Had to get rid of the Comcast caable Land line.

This modem provided a great upgrade to the one I was using. The coverage is great, and the set-up was easy.

I purchased this after the modem/router combo I purchased previous didn't work. This modem connected right away and has been running great. I would recommend this to anyone.

Easy to hookup; great response time; has not needed to be rebooted; my last modem crashed often; Some complain that the lights are too bright; no problem for me; They must play games in a darkened room to have this be a problem.

Have been using since a month. No problems reported till now.
