It is easy to configure. Just made a call to Comcast and within 10mins it was activated and running. It replaced a 10yr old cable modem that could not keep up with all the additional LAN bandwidth being generated by the kids and all the additional PCs. Now just need to upgrade the wireless router to increase the wireless bandwidth for all the wireless portable devices and we will be set.

If you wanna save money and own your own modem instead of renting, this modem would be good for that.

Much faster download speed then previous models. Easy setup straight out of box.

I almost bought the step up but I was on a budget and this one is giving us great speeds via our Cox internet.

I installed this modem in two family member's homes and recommended it to a third family member. This isn't the fastest modem available (343Mbps) but it has more than enough capacity for most households. It theoretically could support over 60 Netflix HD streams if you had fast enough service from your provider (and if Netflix allowed it). I would recommend this modem for most people to replace a leased modem. It pays for itself in under a year.

Basic DOC 3.0 modem which serves the purpose well. Easy hookup and no problems. Worked great from the get go.
