Excellant modem

Even though they told me I would have issues with my own modem, it has worked way better than the modem they provided. If i could dump Mediacom because I had a better choice I would. They run a monopoly and never stick to any deal they make.

Replaced Legacy SB6183
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I did not like renting a legacy SB6183 for $10 a month after the "free modem special" expired. The SB6141 modem has nice price and good bandwidth capability. Be sure to check your bandwidth and your ISP's list of approved modems. Pretty much plug & play. Just call the cable company to sync the new modem MAC address. I took my old rented modem back to the cable office the same day.
