The specs & price were a winning combination. Being able to use the higher gigabit ethernet ports allows me to maintain higher speeds that my cable provider offers. Just make sure this is a supported model for your cable company's internet service before you purchase. As of 5/17/16 this model is supported by Charter's residential service.

not sure if it goes beyond 100mb

I tested and see I only got 100mb instead. so I replaced it with http://www.bestbuy.com/site/arris-surfboard-600-series-docsis-3-0-cable-modem-white/9082019.p?id=1219389047410&skuId=9082019 and i am able to max out my 200mb connection now. I am not sure if this is something on TWC side or not. but anyways, 6183 works.
