Supports multiple frequencies and channels. This replaced an old cable modem we had, and it seems to be fine with good reviews online. It also supports higher download speeds which we were unable to to take advantage of with the old cable modem.

I only used mine for one week before trading it in for a different brand because of connection issues. Found out latter the problem was the wiring in my home not the modem.

The modem operates great, but.. It was not on Comcast list like the package said. I was on the phone for an hour and actually had a great Comcast rep go the extra mile and made it work

I don't know much about modems, so quality salesman support is essential. Thanks Best Buy for providing support. This product is doing a wonderful job of providing internet.

Purchased this modem so I wouldn't be stuck with a lease fee on my internet bill. Modem does as expected, just provided the MAC address to my internet provider and that's it. Plug and play.

Was able to get this online with SuddenLink Tech in less than 15 minutes, now I have a backup for my rented cable modem should it get struck by lightning in the future.

This cable modem replaced the leased modem from Comcast. Worked great after I called Comcast to have it activated on my account. I only had it for a few weeks but it works as expected

It does what it is supposed to do, which is to access the internet without a rental fee. Even if you have to buy a new one after a year, you still save money.

Works OK, but I was not able to activate this modem through Comcast's online website. Needed to work with second level tech support before the modem would work. This was Comcast's problem and not the modem.

I just recently purchased this modem and had some technical issue with comcast. I ended up turning it in for another one. The 2nd router was a charm and have absolutely no issues with it.

After purchasing this modem I took it to the cable company to activate. When I got home all I had to do was plug it in and connect to the router and it was working.

Bought this so I wouldn't have to pay time warner cable's monthly fee. Easy purchase and easy setup. Just give TWC a call and give them the device MAC ID and you're all set!

This was an upgrade to my older DOCSIS 2.0 SurfBoard modem, as Comcast had been complaining for me to upgrade to 3.0. It was the best reviewed modem on the shelf at the store closest to me. I would have preferred Netgear but that one apparently has very bad firmware issues. So while this one seems to work most of the time, I've experienced a few service drop-outs which were only resolved by power cycling both my modem and router. I'm not sure it is a problem with my service or the modem itself, so at the moment I'm just going to leave an average review. I don't have the highest Comcast service level so I haven't noticed any substantial improvement in speed. Your mileage may vary.

I bought this because I was tired of paying Comcast $8 a month for rental. Just wished it came in black.

This is a dependable cable modem and the price can't be beat. Pays for itself in a year if you have TWC.
