But Comcast does not support use and wants you to use their units you have to rent. Paid $70 service call for them to tell me that after a year of using this unit it was the problem with me losing service and or slow speed. I need to update unit.

Employee there told me this will work so I purchased it for about over 60 bucks tried it out did not work,thought it would be a cable service problem waited for them to come out and check and still didn't work problem is I can't return it after the two weeks . I'm stuck with one that don't work with mines and will have to spend more money and look one that's compatible with my cable service.... I suggest checking with your cable service which modem would work well then ask questions read more reviews more sources better chances
