I can’t speak to how good this item is. This model doesn’t have the voice capability. So I had to return it.

Unfortunately was told this was compatible with TWC, but was not. Would not function at all. Returned after two days of fiddling with it.

Modem gave really poor speeds when connected to a router.

it doesn't work well with xfinity...had to have a service person come out because it kept failing, He stated it had back ground noise

Best Buy doesn't stand behind anything they sell, they'll do anything to make a buck, selling garbage like this!

I bought router to avoid paying rental fees from my cable provider. Best decision ever! This is a much better router than what the cable company can provide. We have not had any issues so far.

Runs too hot. I did returned at the end. Cheaper and better options. Ended up buying a netgear one

Time Warner cable in Hawaii recently bumped up their monthly modem lease fee to $5.99 from $3.99. Seemed like a good time to buy my own modem. I picked this one based on TW cable supported modem list and the numerous positive reviews. This modem also supports all the internet service levels available from TW cable in Hawaii including Turbo and Extreme. The setup was straightforward, coax, power in and Ethernet cable to router. Opened a chat with TW cable through my phone hotspot and laptop, provided the mac address and serial # and that was it. Up and running from my desktop in a matter of minutes. After switching from tech support chat to sales chat, I had the service upgraded to the next speed level. Reset the modem and was up and running again at the faster speed. I did have to reset my router after the speed upgrade. My only minor issue with the modem is the brightness of the lights and especially the orange blinking light. But if that doesn't bother or matter to you then this would be a recommended buy. I was also able to price match this with Amazon in-store.

Best Buy employees should be better educated and keep selling me the wrong products to make my wifi work.

I thought this was a great product but had to take it back and get a modern from the cable company that had a phone jack.

This Motorola was extremely simple to set up once i got past the annoying comcast line, but there was no pain in setup on Motorola's side this modem immediately started working after i gave the mac address to Abdula from Comcast but the speed went up 5Mbps immediately and i save 10 dollars a month because of the leasing fee for the sh** modem i replaced, oh and it works amazingly with the linksys ac1900 all i had to do was powercycle once

this thing died right after the one year mark. i really can’t suggest it at all

This is a great modem. The setup is super easy and it works great. I've had no issues so far. Very suitable for high speed internet. Also, great for DOCSIS 3 speeds.

Comcast said I needed to order a new modem but when I installed this one, I don't see any improvement.

I bought this modem as an upgrade from my Motorola Surfboard SB6121, which was a good modem. I went with the SB6141 because I figured I would have good luck with it just like I did with my SB6121. FIrst off I will say that the lights are very bright. I have to use electrical tape to cover them up just to get to sleep at night because it happens to be in my room. Very rarely the modem has to be reset. I have had the modem for 3 months and I have had to only reset maybe 2 times. I would recommend this for anybody who wants to stop renting their ISP's modem. Overall I am very satisfied with it.

Bought modem and setup at home first night. It would not work right out the box.

First off. I'd say this is white and not silver. Does that effect the way this modem performs? No, although some people may be buying a modem to go along with the decorating scheme. Crazy, i know. I love Motorola/Arris modems. i bought this to replace an outdated SB6120. I get awesome download/upload speeds. YMMV but i had a hard time getting this setup with my Xfinity/Comcast service. I don't think it was a modem issue, i just think it's an Xfinity/Comcast issue. Took them about an hour to figure it out but it works like a charm now. 10/10, would recommend.
