I like this modem and work great when i set up my Netgear R6220 AC Wifi. It is super fasterthan before I leased comcast modem and router. Dont lease Comcast modem because their modem is super slow and not worth $8 per month.

I bought this modem so I didn't have to pay the $10 rental fee from comcast every month. The speed it gets from the signal is just as fast as the speed I was getting from compost's best modem. Great buy.

Buy this modem because you'll lose money if you rent one from internet providers. All I can say it works WAY better than what the providers lend you and you save money every month.

I am really happy with choosing this modem. On the speed test I ran on it, the results surpassed the Mbps limit I pay for to my internet provider. I'd say that is pretty impressive.

Best Buy honored a price match to Amazon so I got this for $82.49. I got high speed internet from comcast and this works perfectly. Very pleased.

After 8 years, I retired my old Surfboard modem and upgraded to this one. WOW! I was getting 29 and 8. Now, I get 55 and 11 with Comcast. The only issue is with Comcast. Do not call them at around 9 pm EST. It took like 6 transfers before I finally reached the correct person. After the rest and updates, I was BLAZING!!!!!. A MUST BUY! Best Buy did price match and I used my reward points. Got it down to the price close to the 6121. AWESOME!!!!

I have no doubts that this is a good modem -- but not if you are a Comcast/Xfinity customer. I just installed this modem to replace a SB6121 after I was told by a Comcast tech support person that the modem was at End of Life (EOL). As I was trying to get the new SB6141 installed, I was told that it too is at EOL and may not work well on the Comcast network. The 6121 may not be the latest and greatest, but I'm sure it will work fine; it is Comcast that just wants to make it difficult to own you own equipment (and cut into its profits).

You want internet? You get internet! Robust enough for 4k streaming, power users could definitely do better. But in the sub $100 range, it's hard to beat. The lights are a little obnoxious for my studio apartment though.

We wanted to finally upgrade to a docsis 3.0 modem and figure its cheaper to buy since these things always seem to last forever. We have always had great luck with formerly Motorola modems in the past, and saw that Xfinity supported this product. The modem works great, but no thanks to Comcast who made the setup process a nightmare. Comcast no longer sells this product directly which caused some confusion on their end as to supporting use of it on their system. In the end it was still listed as a supported product when provided by the consumer, so they were able to add it to our account.

This is the perfect cable modem to do away with your cable modem lease. I have Time Warner cable and it was super easy to swap modems using online chat (from my phone.)
