Bought this so I didn't have to rent one from Time Warner. It's been performing well for two years now. No complaints. (I bought the black version.)

I needed to update my modem at the recommendation of Comcast. This was an affordable, easy to install, easy to use option.

Best Buy Store manager recommended this modem to replace my Time Warner issued. I have had this modem for 9 months and performance is excellent.

The router works perfectly and I have had zero problems with it. I am using it with Xfinity and much better than renting theirs for $10 a month.

bought this modem to replace on going issues with comcast. went thru three modems with comcast. the last modem took out my lan connector. this modem is working great no issues. even got the wife involved in setting up the network.

Finally out of a Clear contract nightmare. I used to have SBC-DSL. This is 3X faster easy. Clear was unstable, unreliable, inconsistent. Well they were consistent about two things OVER PRICED and SLOW. TWC had to roll a truck though to finish the install and reset their hardware. 20 / 2 compared to CLEAR's advertised 10 / 1 that was at times worse than dial-up. I prefer to own my equipment rather than lease. Though a modem was provided in the plan I choose I prefer to own mine. I already had a dual band router which actually I will be upgrading to the new AC standard.

Bought this to replace a 9 year old modem. Our internet connection speed dramatically increased. Been using this since December with no problems.

This is a great improved modem over the old surfboard modem. I noticed much more speed on my internet connection using this one over the old one.

This was crucial for getting great speeds. Depending on your plan with your ISP, speeds should be way better than before.

This cable modem came highly recommended and so far has not let me down. Thanks Best Buy for great product at great price.

This is a great cable modem. It is easy to set up. It's cheaper than renting the modem offered by the cable companies.

Easy to use, and removes the Internet company from renting you the modem for cable Internet.

Didn't want to RENT from Comcast anymore, so was a great buy easy to install and works great with my Netgear router.

I just bought this modem and got rid off the SBG6580 due to it's weak wireless signal, plus i already own a good dlink wireless router. Called time warner cable, gave them the mac address and it was up n running in a less than a minute =] it totally rocks!

After being on my 2nd modem that i pay $5 a month for from Media Comm and the same issues started happening, a light went off that why would they rent the best equipment. i could not even stay on line long enough to pay a bill. Only draw back is i am not sure how i will handle my phone service and after being on hold for 20 minutes i decided to hang up. Maybe it is time i forgo my home phone. You will never get the best speeds using the supplied modem from your cable and internet provider.

Overall easy plug and play the only thing is registering with comcast once you done that part the easiest modem to work with!!!!

I connected this modem and i am getting same speed as i was with my Motorola 5101 which is a older modem and do not know if comcast has me at no more then 32 megs download or not but that is the fasted that i can download with my old modem and this new one so can;t really say if this modem is slow or not. I have it connected in my bedroom and i had to put it down behind my computer so it does not keep my room lit up light christmas becauae the lights are really brite on this modem. I will be returning it because i see not difference in speed.
