It is compact and light weight was expecting it to be about 16 inches in height and heavier. I waited until the right time to purchased it today at a good price, I done a lot of research during the last three (3) weeks.

Have not had any issues since purchasing. Internet used to drop constantly. Since plugging this unit in, my connection has been outstanding and without problems.

I recently changed internet providers, and I decided to purchase my own modem and router instead of renting. This is one that came recommended by Time Warner Cable, and store employee.

This is the best cable modem modem to date. If you have twc, comcast, and other cable isps, get this modem, so u dont have to pay their rental fee.

Recommended by employee, but no improvement in speed.

I bought my first one back in April, and it gave up this March. It "works" but log is filled with errors and dropped connection. All wiring and connections have been replaced with new to pole and the Modem is on a UPS so no idea why it went bad. When it reboots, I get 57Mbps. Then it fails and I get this error repeatedly and it slows down to less than 1 Mbps "5-Warning N/A DS Partial Service Fallback: MDD Lost-> CM in DOCSIS 3.0 Recovery Mode" I'm hoping I just got a bad one that died after I upgrade from 20 to 50 Mbps. One week after upgrade nothing but issues.

I was a long time fan of Motorola. Got this modem to replace another DOCSIS 3 Motorola last year. Worked well for about 8 months and then I began getting degraded download speeds over time. When working properly I get 57 MBPS. When speed got down to 20-25 I would reboot modem and router and for awhile that would fix things. But then the past month (11 months owned) I just could not get above 20 MBPS and frequently only averaged 3 MBPS! Cable connection levels were within spec, in fact very good. So I kept thinking it must be the provider. But since there were some rare instances where I would get good speeds for a short period of time I decided to try a new modem myself before having a technician come out. I bought a ZOOM 5341J which has the same specifications but is $30 cheaper. Registered the modem and my first speed test was 57.7 MBPS. It has only been two days now on the new modem so I don't know how long it will last. I also called support to fix or replace my Motorola because it has not been a year yet. They had me connect it up again and tell them the power levels. Guy blamed the issue on my upstream power of 38, said it has to at least be 40. I believe this only effects upload speed which I NEVER had a problem with. I will try every other brand of modem before coming back to Motorola again.

Received several communications from Comcast to upgrade to the DOCSIS 3.0 to take advantage of their new internet speeds. I was using a SB5101 for the past few years. The installation of the new SB6141 was flawless. My subscription supposedly was upgraded from 25 mbps to 50 mbps. However, the new modem, SB6141, has the same internet speeds of the SB5101. Comcast tech support told me that it was a faulty modem. So, I returned the modem and exchanged it for a new Modem. Internet speeds did not increase. Will keep the new modem just in case...

Great modem but issue is that you always have to upgrade if compatibly changes with your ISP and if they decide that your modem is end of life. Always recommend to buy the latest model so you are set for a while.

I didn't realize that even though this was xfinity comparable that it didn't include the ability to have the phone go through it. I think the product is fine but not if you get your phone service through xfinity.

Do not buy if you have xfinity.Great modem until xfinity told me they dont support this modem and it is out of date with them.I bought the sb 6190 and it is faster and no problems so far.

I purchased this router to hopefully save money in long run on the 10 dollar a month lease from cable provider. So far works great.

There's a reason this is the most-recommended modem for basically all internet providers--it's the best, and it doesn't cost you a fortune.

Brought this modem since we moved to new place. So far, it has been performing very well. No dropped connections, high connection speed.

Bought from Bestbuy 6/10/2015. I'm posting this review on 8/10/2015. It worked great for about 2mos, now it will lose the internet connection about 30 times a day, for about 2 minutes a time, then come back on. It's not my internet provider, because I used an old modem to test. I've also tried resetting the modem several time. Maybe I just got a lemon, because it seems to get great reviews? So I'm now shopping for a another new modem :(

This is my second modem as the first was lost in a power surge. New modem, new surge protector and I'm back up.

this fixed the internet problems i had at the house.

I replaced my Comcast modem with this one so I didn't have to pay rental fees. It works perfect.

I purchased this modem and dumped the cable modem along with the monthly fee. Great investment!!!
