    Did you know they need to be replaced periodically? That is the reason I bought high quality new ones. They seem reasonabley priced and the box tells you the amount of protection they will give.

    Why pay the cable company? Will start saving you money within the first year. Plug in call cable company and boom 10 bucks a month off the cable bill

    Best Buy description of "in the box" shows that this modem comes with a backup battery. Well, it does not. No battery is in the box and it is not listed on the actual box. Still saves me $10 rental fee to Comcast.

    I had been paying $10 a month on my Optimum bill for years as a rental fee not knowing that if I purchased one I would save $10 monthly. Thanks to Best Buy I will save $120 annually
