This is not the best choice if you have lots of wireless products you are using at one time. For example cameras, ring doorbell, iPad, iPhone etc.

This device is a 3-in-1 cable modem, router, and access point. It has fast and reliable internet speed, Wi-Fi coverage, and Ethernet ports. It works with most cable providers and supports IPv4 and IPv6. It is easy to set up and manage with the app. It is a great value for money.

Not consistent... Just having this modem for over two years (“conveniently” just after the warranty period) it began dropping connection and is now tot he point where I have to purchase another new modem. Definitely will not purchase Arris again...

After two years of use, it's not working as expected. No firmware available and the download speed never goes beyond 10mbps.

This review pertains to the Arris Surfboard SBG6950AC2 modem/router. My rating is not based on performance as I've only had this device for a few days. The rating pertains solely to the EXCEEDINGLY aggravating McAFEE software that accompanies this modem. There is enough anxiety generated by changing one's setup without having to deal with the additional impediment presented by this software. Without going into lengthy details will just say that, shortly after the installation of this modem, all access to the internet (including my e-mail) was blocked. An ominous screen appeared suggesting that my system was unsecured. The cause: McAFEE. Then the hunt was on to discover how it might be disabled. (possible helpful hints: find the small print. Try disabling it twice.) Am not technically inclined so maybe a more experienced person would have figured this out sooner. But as a non-techie it was just another unnecessary hurdle to overcome. If this modem fails, it certainly will not be replaced with one that includes that intrusive and sneaky McAFEE software.

I installed this modem/router to use with my XFINITY service. The modem itself was easy to set up and seemed to work well. The WiFi router was terrible. Lost WiFi signal when only 15 ft away from the device, all computers, tablets and phones continuously dropped signal. I gave it a week just to see if it would get any better but no change. I returned to BestBuy and opted to go with a different combination.
