Q: What is the max distance the wifi can reach? My current one is about 75 feet or so.
A: I easily doubled my distance with this modem/router. I would say 125-150 feet with little obstruction, say two walls. I have a detached garage across a trail and have no trouble with wifi. The speed also increased without changing service levels from the provider. Very pleased with the unit and set up and interface were both user friendly.
A: I was also renting a similar model from my Internet provider (Comcast). I purchased the ARRIS SBG6950 as a compatible replacement. The AC1900 should be a compatible replacement, however, I would recommend looking on your provider's website for a list of compatible modem based on your Internet requirement (ie, speed). The provide should have a list of compatible modems; try the FAQ if you don't know where to start.

A: Yes, the modem will work with CenturyLink.

A: No, this model does not have a phone jack.
Q: CAN YOU HOOK A PHONE INTO FOR COMCAST
A: The back of the modem does not allow for a phone but the surfboard from comcast will have the phone outlet. As far as the modem, love it works great.
