They stopped making the brand of modem I used to use, so now I buy this one, which is what Comcast uses I believe. I don't really like it overall, and this is probably the 6th or 7th one I have had to purchase in the last 3 years or so. Performance wise it is not bad, good speed no major issues, it just seems to burn out very easily. If purchasing, I would recommend a protection plan and/or surge protector w/cable connection. I hate protection plans and think they are a waste of money for the most part, but I WOULD say get it for this to CYA!!!

I love it. So far works great. I have had this modem for about a month. I live it. If you dont have one and you are renting one from your internet provider you better consider buying one for yourself. And highly recomend this midel.

I needed a modem for Comcast and didn't want to rent theirs. It's not the best modem, but it works.

So this modem is great as a no frills modem, nothing more nothing less

had to purchase a new modem because the previous one i had (netgear) didn't have the cable plug needed. it works. but like anything else get a warranty and keep your receipts just in case... otherwise, it does its job and no complaints so far.

No issues with this modem. Took it out of the box, plugged it in, and it's been working ever since.

Surfboard DOCSIS 3 replaced a several years old and still working but end-of-life Surfboard DOCSIS 2 cable modem. I noticed a slight, around 9-10% increase in speed. I've been pleased with the brand in the past and see no reason to change.

This modem is or should be the de facto standard for cable modems. I bought a cheap all in one before and it was garbage, replaced it with this and my internet is much more stable and faster. Spend the money and do it right the first time.

It's worked great. I've had no issues or interruptions with internet.

My internet was terrible. Someone in my building had an overpowering modem and I always had trouble getting online. Now I have full service on all my devices. I also get much faster service. It was very easy to setup and get working. I have five devices connected and they all run at great speeds.

Very good. Just lost internet a few times. Works well overall.

Easy to set up. Noticed a big difference in speed, both wired and wifi. Previously my Netflix streamed in SD in the beginning and then went to HD. Now it starts steaming in HD right from the beginning. No unusual link failures yet as well.

This modem connects devices easily on all floors. It's excellent.

Got it at a deal price and can't feel better with the product.

Switched from the Motorola gateway extreme (burned thru three of those in less than two years!) and this is a far superior device. Quality hardware from a reliable name for a decent price... I really have nothing bad to say about this modem.

Decent item but I'd recommend spending a little extra cash and getting a higher performance modem. But again for the price I'd say the modem performs well and would recommend it if you're not looking to spend too much money.

We are not that tech savy and this was recommended by best buy tech. Works great for out needs.

If you need a basic DOCSIS 3.0 cable modem this is the way to go!
