One of the Better Modems on the Market

The heat problem was I had it lined up between 3 of my external hard drives. I cleared a space for it and it stays cool. All I can say is it works as it was designed to.

Great High Speed Modem

Great replacement for Time Warner modem.

The monthly rental fees by TW have been raised to a point where the purchase of your own modem is practical. The purchase price is approx. 1 year of the rental fees. I expect many years of service from this modem so any future replacement costs should well offset the monthly rental fees. The unit is new but my internet connection is working perfectly.
