Set up was easy, but it was required to call the cable provider to activate it. This dual unit provides AC2350 router and 3.1 cable modem, which can also operate on 3.0. Small device is hidden easily in our home network configuration. Overall great unit but one thing to note is there is no USB ports on this. Kind of expensive but reliable and future proof. I would recommend to others.

Purchased a different brand and got our wifi to easily start up in just about 60 seconds. For the Arris, we tried mulitple times and just couldn't get it hooked up - you need an ethernet connection and it was far more complex.....

Thinking of returning it for that reason because it’s that bad

I'm using it with Mediacom. Setup was straightforward and the directions were clear. I chose to set up the modem with the Android app and that was a little confusing at first, but set up completed without too much trouble. However, the app does not have available all the features of the modem that can be found via the modem's IP address control panel. So I basically have no reason to use the app and prefer to use the web control panel. I did notice a slight increase in upload/download speeds from my previous modem (50/130mbps vs 35/120mbps). Wifi connections and speed were good also. I have about 10 devices on my home network and the router function of the modem handled them all without trouble.

A call to Arris support was a complete farce. I will be returning it as soon as my replacement from a different manufacturer and retail establishment arrives. Won’t ever buy another Arris or be likely to shop at Best Buy a as gain.

All were amazing, except this one. This model drops service frequently, needs to be reset and or restored. Customer service is horrible too. Don't buy this one.

On with tech support for 4 days and still having major issues. Not worth the trouble. Returned modem.

After a hour with Comcast to no avail I contacted Arris tech support. Several reboots and resets the tech said to return it. Returned to Best Buy and bought a. Netgear. So far no dropouts.
