The Motorola - SURFboard eXtreme 802.11ac DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem and 4-Port Gigabit Ethernet Router works great for the most part. It's easy to setup and it has everything you need for wifi right out of the box. The only thing that bugs me is that the connection can be a bit hit or miss when I'm gaming, but that could just be the Network I'm using or that I live in a town house apartment with an upstairs and downstairs. Also the price is on the high side, but I'm a bit frugal at times.

This Modem with built in router is great for home use. I have not had any signal loss since i had this installed. The signal is 4 out of 5 bars at the furthest point in the house but still great connectivity. Well worth the price!!

Outside of trying to get the cable company to recognize the router (as this is required), it worked perfectly out of the box. Great distance and speed and seriously was an immediate upgrade for my parents.

I bought this modem 3 months ago and I am still very happy with it. Somehow this modem still manages to make the best out of my cheap internet. (basic twc) Great for long ranges and multiple devices. Very easy to set up and connect.

I wanted a new modem/router to replace the one I was renting and this absolutely did the job and saves a lot of money! Haven't had any problems with it yet. Speed is great.

Good bang for you buck, I wish the wifi was a bit stronger but that could be from my placement (finished basent). It beats paying $10 a month to the cable company for a modem that is only half as good.

This router really does it's job. I was totally amazed at how much better it worked than the one supplied with my cable provider. It is a must purchase

I've only had this item for a couple of days but so far so good. It hasn't dropped a signal yet and is lightning fast. Only bad thing is the cost. Sometimes you have to pay for what you want though.

Overall, this modem / router combo is perfect for those looking to add high-speed wired and wireless internet to their home. The login and interface is simple and easy to set up. I was up and running within 5 minutes of plugging it in. It's been several years and the unit is still going strong. Unfortunately it's at the end of life. Hopefully I can find something just as good as the last several more years.

I had the basic router from Charter, was never happy with power/range/speed. Now most of those have improved, albeit marginally. Still makes us happy

I've been using the Arris SURFboard Extreme Router for a few months now. What a difference! Internet speed is much faster now.

Bought this to replace a router that I was renting from my cable provider that kept failing to work. It came with everything I needed to set it up fast and easy. I have had no issues with connections since installing this.

I wanted something other than Comcast modem this modem was easy to install preset up with password for immediate connection. great easy setup for beginner and advanced settings for more security and identification among many wireless signals in neighborhood. we moved into a new house when we bought this modem and not sure how strong signal would have been with my old router so I did have to buy a range extender to complement the signal throw-out the house and well into the yard. Very pleased only draw back might be signal strength but there again I have had no reference to compare to in our new house

I got this due to a recommendation from my internet provider technician. I have no dropped service and have been connected to the router 2 blocks away. I have seen improved speeds on all of my devices. The only issue that I have experienced had nothing to do with the device but rather my cable and internet company's inability and desire to activate it on their systems.

This is an awesome Modem/Router combo, I get great Wi/Fi coverage and amazing speeds on Comcast Xfinity. I would wait for it to go on sale to help offset the cost and make it a better deal.

We've had the Motorola SURFboard eXtreme for about two weeks and we can't believe how fast it delivers wifi throughout the house. 802.11ac is perfect for all our wireless devices. 2.4 and 5 GHz wireless connections

We finally got rid of the monthly fee and have fast and efficient internet and cable connection. Say no to big box fees for rental of their box with poor service.

Love this workhorse, one piece instead of both modem and router, easy to setup, only hiccup was with time warner updating the model and serial number. Sometimes I get ip conflicts, hasn't solved that problem yet.

Great modem and router combination. Incredibly fast speeds compared to the one from the cable company. I no longer have to reset the modem multiple times per day just to get a quarter of the speed I'm paying for.

I recently had a wifi router go out in my setup and thought this would be the perfect opportunity to not only replace it with a faster ac wifi router but also stream line my desk by its incorporated modem rather than use a Motorola modem I've had for some time. This was definitely a mistake! Although the setup and co figuration went smoothly, it's plagued by drop out on both the 2.4 and 5 Ghz bands. It's range is also very limited for transmission of those signal bands. I tried to like it for several days but found it totally unusable. I have since returned it and replaced it with a Netgear Nighthawk R8000 using my original Motorola DOCSIS 3.0 modem reinstalled and am very pleased with the results for both speed and range.....
