I needed a new modem and this one fit my needs. I wanted my wi-fi to reach my camper which is about 70 feet from my home. It works perfectly and the Internet is still fast. You can't go wrong with this item. Motorola is the best. Thanks Best Buy for caring such great products.

If you want to stop paying your cable company for equipment rental, this is for you. It is a cable modem/gateway and wireless 2 band AC router in one. Purchase this and call your cable company to activate it. Return your rented modem and wireless router and save money every month. Be sure and verify with your cable provider that this device is supported before purchase. This specific model and other similar Arris products are commonly used by cable providers.

I had a similar but lesser unit that didn't have as much umph. This unit has WiFi that seems to reach farther and keeps the signal available more consistently. We have eliminated frustrating dropouts that we were experiencing with our prior unit when we weren't connected in a close enough room. This is working throughout the house.

Modem was easy to install and is ready to take on latest and upcoming wireless technologies In addition, This component will stay current in the Comcast system and will not be phased out or refreshed for at least a few years. This was my primary concern... if this investment would pay for itself and I forecast that it will.

Love this duo, Motorola always last and delivers great speeds. I went through tons of Linksys routers which always have disappointed me. This can support so many devices I have ALOT (15+). **** One thing is the instructions say the default password is PASSWORD, it's not & took me a while to find out it was MOTOROLA****

I had the previous model by Motorola and it was becoming unstable. The internet signal was on/off on my Xbox and my cellphones. Since I bought this new updated modem/router the issue is gone. Great device, strong signal. Now I have tow sub-networks: 2GB for older devices and 5GB for new devices.

It was very simple to set-up. I have Comcast and was struggling with the speed and connectivity of their provided Arris modem/router. Their device is not even capable of fully utilizing the "Blast" speed. However, the Motorola Surfboard took about 10 minutes to set-up (including Comcast activation) and now I no longer have problems connecting anywhere in my 2 story home with good speed. The only thing that I could say might be a negative is whether I truly needed the new AC band technology. It is the most current and fastest, but comes with a heftier price tag. It's possible that I could've chosen the cheaper N band device and still been able to take full advantage of Comcast's "blast" speed.

Does everything you would expect. Has worked amazingly well, no problems. Set up was easy and my wifi ranges has been increased dramatically. Not a corner of the house where I do not get a strong signal. Best part was I no longer have to pay a rental fee for the Time Warner modem I was using before.

I just set my router up 2 days ago. Basic set up was easy.I have not used the advanced functions yet to set up my network, but preliminary review looks that it should be the same. The unit is big, I would think that they could make it smaller at this point.

I was very pleased with the modem I bought from Best Buy only problem I had with it was the cable company they wrote down the wrong number for Internet access and needed a device they have so it would not interfere with the phone or other devices on 5G network

WiFi is now running @ lightning speed and has little-to-no connection problems! Best investment I've made in a long time. Stop renting from the cable company and pick up this instead.

I'm at TWC customer and got fed up using there not so good modems. I took it upon myself to do research and find a modem/router combo to get rid of the excessive hardware and cables. Well, I was hesitant with this product because of this price but decided to bite the bullet. Installation was an ease. And the setup was piece of cake. Once setup, I was able to get all my devices to work better and faster. The range also improve, there was no need to use an extender. And the speed was greatly improved. Nothing bad can be said.

I recently bought this router hoping to have really great internet reception. However, this product superseded my expectations. My reception and range are better than expected and I've never been happier with a purchase.

quick and easy setup. working with comcast to get my surfboard activated was a pain, but only because comcast is a pain. but after a half-hour or so, they finally got it. surfboard is powerful too as I was able to eliminate an extender for 2nd floor rooms thanks to the surfboard.
