Very powerful modem in a small package easy to set up and use

So far, so good. Bought and activated yesterday with my xfinity gigabit internet plan. Modem is small and simple, with a single, multi-colored and functioning light to let you know what's going on. My former Motorolo MB8600 began suffering from frequent disconnects and I ultimately had to return it after a few months. I only gave it 4 stars so far, since I really will have to use it for a while to see if it will earn the fifth star. I am cautiously optomistic.

This is an upgrade from an earlier version of Arris Surfboard I had. Set up was simple with the Xfinity,App. It took 10 minutes and I was up and running. Have not had any issues at all. Works perfectly

Arris products have always been solid and the S33 is no exception. Recently upgraded from the 8200 and have had no problems at all, just great reliable speed

Xfinity said the highest i get is 800gb down, and this makes me get up to 950gbs down. Idk how or why but I'm not complaining. It's definitely a great investment

So far works great with xfinity. I compared the prices of another product that was $50 more but the specs were identical so i opted for this. This is my second Arris modem. First one is still going strong after 5 years and I'm sure this one will go the distance as well.

Setup was a breeze. Easy to configure and get me up and running. Wish there was a power button just to make power cycling easier.

What can I say. Free overnight shipping--what's not to love about that. Took a few minutes for Xfinity's app to adopt it and load their firmware. It's been rock solid since. Haven't been using it for too long, but it's very fast and stable so far. Now I just need a faster firewall to keep up.

Definite upgrade from the rented cable modem. Using the 2.5Gbe hooked up to an Asus Wi-Fi router my speed-to-router is 1.2-1.3Gbps vs 980Mbps via Eero Pro6. I’ve used cable modems from the provider in the past and it’s always a nightmare. You should always buy your own modem.

The modem, while appearing to be working correctly, operated at a very high temperature. How "high?" Hot enough that touching any part of the device was extremely uncomfortable. Electronic devices should not run "hot." Fortunately, Best Buy has a "satisfaction guarantee" that allowed me to exchange the modem for a similar product from Netgear. Also, during product registration, the Arris website would not recognize the device and serial number. I usually do not register a product, but Arris' documentation hinted that it was important for warranty fulfillment. With the device running as hot as this one, I felt confident that I would be contacting them "soon" for warranty repairs. I did post a comment on the Arris user forum, agreeing with others about the device's temperature and website problems (I am not the first to have these problems with this product). An Arris monitor posted "please contact us..." Too late; I already exchanged the device.

So far, this has been a definite upgrade to our ISP supplied modem that would drop signal several times per day. We use with an Eevo mesh router setup. As expected, needed almost an hour on the phone with the ISP when their DIY install site was not working.

Works great with my 2gb plan from cox. No issues after a few weeks.

ARRIS Surfboard modem has completely excellent. I have it paired with a Netgear Nighthawk and my internet is absolutely flawless. It's a perfect combo haven't had any issues and a very easy setup too.
