But you dont need it with a 2.5 g port. You do need a router with a 2.5 input to share its data on its 1g ports. Speed limit of 1g per port on a given computer.

Failed after a month - Warranty Exchange Issues

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Product started out great, was getting good connection speeds, worked with ISP to get it registered on their network which didn't take very long but after only a month the product failed. Really disappointed. Bought this product on 2/22/24, was delivered on 2/24/24. The product experienced a failure on 3/31/24. It would boot up and then immediately crash. After some trouble shooting with my ISP to rule out any issues on their end it was determined that the device had failed. Contacted Arris support and the product was still under warranty until 2026. However to go through with the exchange process I have to pay to ship the product back to them rather than arris issuing a return label for their product. Just annoying that the product failed so quickly and then I'm out even more money on the warranty exchange after only a month.

Probably good when it works. My ISP had issues allowing me to use my own equipment. They claim this product was defective, so i dont know.
