Not getting the speeds we're paying for.

The main problem we had with it was the constant drop in signal, and the low speeds we were receiving. Couldn't get it passed 150 mbps when we're needing and are paying for gigabyte speed. Switched this modem out with another and wow what a big difference it made. Arris and Xfinity were pointing fingers at each other, but after switching out the modem with another 3.1 modem that wasn't Arris, We got the speeds we needed, and haven't had a drop in signal for several days now. Spending $200 and having to troubleshoot almost daily for several months was not worth the trouble.

Not new.

I suspect the unit is OK but the local cable co. couldn't get it to work when we tried it. After they tried I found I could not log in to the unit. I suspect it would work with a factory reset but I had already ordered a connection with the local fiber provider. I did get a refund.

Stops working after heating up.

Single component vs combined router/ modem

Trouble

Maybe it is because it is too new for Comcast to setup a standard procedure to have it connected yet.

First one died, second one appears to be working

Lasted 15 months and died

It did seem to be a bit warm to the touch. Even when I put feet on the bottom to have a gap between it and the desk to improve air flow.

Do you have a compatible internet provider?

We bought a different brand and our internet magically came back on. Definitely check with your internet provider before purchasing this brand.
