Stopped working for no reason. Called Arris bc I only had it for 5 months. They did not stand behind their product and I was out $150. Ended up using cable company modem and it was faster...

Very deceptive advertising. Says it has a 2.5 Gbps port, but the max speed you can get on this is 1.2 GBPs (just confirmed with a support call with Arris). Also, each port only has 4 upload channels, so it really isn’t 32x8, it’s 32x4, which means the max upload speed is 40 Mbps, which is a joke these days.

Bought this S33 to replace an aging but still functional SB6120. This S33 device worked as expected for 16 months. After 16 months, NO INTERNET SIGNAL - This S33 device showed as offline to both the ISP and my home router, even after multiple factory resets. Bought a new and less expensive SB6190 to replace this non-functional S33 - INTERNET IS ONLINE AGAIN!

Spectrum did not like this unit....that was tops on compatibility list....After 5 phone calls, 18 hrs, 1 tech visit and 4 days of virtually no stable internet connections.Unable to determine if the unit was the issue or spectrum just wanted me to use their modem. I returned unit to store.

    Died after 3 months

Modem died today, after a little bit over 3 months. It disconnects and reboots constantly, I called ISP and they said they couldn't see my modem. I popped back in my old modem and connection became rock solid. I swapped back to this modem again just to see if it was the ISP's connection, well, modem started dropping the connection and rebooting itself again. Now I'm back to my old modem. Warranty replacement seems impossible, their website done a great job redirecting me back to their FAQ.

There is a huge issue with this modem and comcast kines. Comcast blames arris and arris blames comcast. Modem will reboot several times a day because of a formware upgrade very annoying for a digital household. Tried to refund on bestbuy but they said I didnt return fast enough what a waste of money.

Upgraded to this cable modem because Xfinity no longer supported my old one that kept losing internet connection. So far it has been working great. Make sure to use the power supply included with this unit and not your old one.

BestBuy sold me the S33v2 instead of the S33 as this is listed. The S33v2 will NOT work with my ISP and since it is now out of the exchange window after I spent a couple months working with Arris and my ISP to figure out the problem, I spent $200 on a brick.

Probably had a defective one, but it wouldn't recognize the ISP at first and when it finally did, it kept dropping the connection. The light was constantly blinking green and the unit was extremely hot.

I'm facing frequent daily disconnections with my internet. After consulting with an Xfinity agent, it was determined that the modem is the cause of the issue. Many similar complaints can be found online. I strongly advise doing in-depth research before deciding to purchase the modem.
