May not actually work with Xfinity. I had it running a few months and couldn’t figure out why my connection kept dropping to my mesh network. Eero said my WAN kept dropping in their logs - went back to prior Surfboard and slower speeds but no drops. Wasted $200 and shouldn’t say Xfinity is compatible.

Bought this product in July and now it’s mid September and it won’t hold a signal. Keeps losing signal repeatedly. Worst modem I’ve ever bought from Netgear. I’m so upset that I can’t return it now. Never again will I buy Netgear! Zero Stars!

Doesn’t connect to xfinity service. I wish I could get the 6 hours of my life spent on the phone with xfinity back. Now I have to return it and find something else.

I had to return this because it is only a modem. No wireless router capability.

This router did not work for me at all. I got a self assigned ip on my Mac and my TP Link mesh system would not activate. I thought I was going crazy but my windows computer did connect to it via Ethernet. I decided to upgrade to the Netgear Nighthawk CM2000. Although it was a lot more expensive, it worked flawlessly with Xfinity and even faster network speeds

When I purchased this modem, I did so based on reviews. After 3.5 months of use, the mode. Constantly resets on its own. I have factory reset and the issue still occurs. I would not purchase this modem again. Unfortunately I cant return and I no longer trust it to even reach out fo Arris for warranty. Buyer beware.

Can't config without old PC with ETHERNET port

Not in use. I did not know until halfway thru directions that you need a PC with an ETHERNET PORT to configure. What newer devices come with ETHERNET? Have a PC, IPAD, Surface Pro, iphone, Samsung phone, etc none of which have ETHERNET. Stuck on phone for hours with 2 diff ARRIS reps trying to find out if I could config on line using one of my many devices to no avail. Decided to connect anyway. Spent hours on phone with Comcast trying to get modem/WIFI network running...ended up putting old Surfboard back in which required more time with Comcast to reconfig. Nice way to loose half of a beautiful Friday to end up where I started. Guess I will have to find someone with an old PC with an ETHERNET port and start all over again....

Works fine up to 500 Mbs. Was not able to deliver speeds over 500 Mbs. Neither Breezeline or Arris support were able to solve the issue.

Decided to update my 4+ year old Arris modem just to be able to take advantage of higher speeds but this modem just wont work. Called Comcast\Xinity and got it provisioned but the modem kept rebooting every half hour or so. Decided to let it running overnight but still same thing in the morning. Though maybe I got a bad unit so went and exchanged it for another unit and still same issue. Placed my old modem back and everything is fine again so not really sure what the issue is.

Bought the Arris S33 back on January 7, 2021. It worked great for 5 1/2 months and then it stopped working. My ISP could not connect to it and the device was overheating. I had to hook up my old DOCSIS 3.0 router for now until I can replace it.

Died, no power after 30 days - hour to get a person on the phone from Mfr - call “dropped” right when they were about to send me replacement - got voicemail while still in hold with them to try calling in again. No thanks, clear they could care less. Stay away

    Unreliable Connection and Updates

I had internet trouble on and off for months. For hours, the internet would disconnect and reconnect, giving me fifteen seconds of connectivity followed by five minutes of no internet. After a stream of technicians replaced and repaired and checked every other part of my network, and my neighbors confirmed they had internet, I finally thought to replace my modem. My internet has been stable for over a month now. I'm not sure if this is bad hardware, or bad updates being pushed, but either way, this modem is very close to garbage.

I really don't know if it is any good. I replaced my modem and router. Also had Cox technicians check system inside and out. They even ran new cable to the house. Had a tech from arris troubleshoot but still couldn't get internet to stay connected. I called T-mobile and they sent me a modem/router. I plugged it in and consistant internet connection with no problems so far.

Didn’t even last a year. Started making a terrible noise and then would no longer connect to the internet. Very disappointed in this model. Definitely not the level of quality I expected from a supposedly top-of-the-line Arris modem.

To many connection issues. I was running an older Netgear and never experienced that much of lag and interruption. I have to reboot the Modem 2 to 3 times to finish 1 single movie. Very disappointed with Arris
