    Stopped working after 16 months

Bought this S33 to replace an aging but still functional SB6120. This S33 device worked as expected for 16 months. After 16 months, NO INTERNET SIGNAL - This S33 device showed as offline to both the ISP and my home router, even after multiple factory resets. Bought a new and less expensive SB6190 to replace this non-functional S33 - INTERNET IS ONLINE AGAIN!

    Great option for Xfinity

Upgraded to this cable modem because Xfinity no longer supported my old one that kept losing internet connection. So far it has been working great. Make sure to use the power supply included with this unit and not your old one.

Probably had a defective one, but it wouldn't recognize the ISP at first and when it finally did, it kept dropping the connection. The light was constantly blinking green and the unit was extremely hot.

Persistent drop-offs unrelated to ISP. Customer support consists of stall, stall, and more stall.

There is a huge issue with this modem and comcast kines. Comcast blames arris and arris blames comcast. Modem will reboot several times a day because of a formware upgrade very annoying for a digital household. Tried to refund on bestbuy but they said I didnt return fast enough what a waste of money.

Bought it in early January of this year and everything was going great, right up until it stopped working yesterday. Now, I have a $325 ornament and have to purchase another modem.

    frequent daily disconnections, disappointed

I'm facing frequent daily disconnections with my internet. After consulting with an Xfinity agent, it was determined that the modem is the cause of the issue. Many similar complaints can be found online. I strongly advise doing in-depth research before deciding to purchase the modem.

    Shady Practices via bestbuy

BestBuy sold me the S33v2 instead of the S33 as this is listed. The S33v2 will NOT work with my ISP and since it is now out of the exchange window after I spent a couple months working with Arris and my ISP to figure out the problem, I spent $200 on a brick.

Doesn’t connect to xfinity service. I wish I could get the 6 hours of my life spent on the phone with xfinity back. Now I have to return it and find something else.

Bought this product in July and now it’s mid September and it won’t hold a signal. Keeps losing signal repeatedly. Worst modem I’ve ever bought from Netgear. I’m so upset that I can’t return it now. Never again will I buy Netgear! Zero Stars!

May not actually work with Xfinity. I had it running a few months and couldn’t figure out why my connection kept dropping to my mesh network. Eero said my WAN kept dropping in their logs - went back to prior Surfboard and slower speeds but no drops. Wasted $200 and shouldn’t say Xfinity is compatible.

This router did not work for me at all. I got a self assigned ip on my Mac and my TP Link mesh system would not activate. I thought I was going crazy but my windows computer did connect to it via Ethernet. I decided to upgrade to the Netgear Nighthawk CM2000. Although it was a lot more expensive, it worked flawlessly with Xfinity and even faster network speeds

When I purchased this modem, I did so based on reviews. After 3.5 months of use, the mode. Constantly resets on its own. I have factory reset and the issue still occurs. I would not purchase this modem again. Unfortunately I cant return and I no longer trust it to even reach out fo Arris for warranty. Buyer beware.

Can't config without old PC with ETHERNET port

Not in use. I did not know until halfway thru directions that you need a PC with an ETHERNET PORT to configure. What newer devices come with ETHERNET? Have a PC, IPAD, Surface Pro, iphone, Samsung phone, etc none of which have ETHERNET. Stuck on phone for hours with 2 diff ARRIS reps trying to find out if I could config on line using one of my many devices to no avail. Decided to connect anyway. Spent hours on phone with Comcast trying to get modem/WIFI network running...ended up putting old Surfboard back in which required more time with Comcast to reconfig. Nice way to loose half of a beautiful Friday to end up where I started. Guess I will have to find someone with an old PC with an ETHERNET port and start all over again....

Decided to update my 4+ year old Arris modem just to be able to take advantage of higher speeds but this modem just wont work. Called Comcast\Xinity and got it provisioned but the modem kept rebooting every half hour or so. Decided to let it running overnight but still same thing in the morning. Though maybe I got a bad unit so went and exchanged it for another unit and still same issue. Placed my old modem back and everything is fine again so not really sure what the issue is.
