If you have gigabit speed, get this modem! Supports docsis 3.1 and previous models overheat when speeds are over 400 megs. No worries anymore.

Best docsis 3.1 modem out there for value! Pair it with a mesh system

The set up was easy and along with my Netgear Nighthawk router I was able to double the speeds I was getting with the rented Modem/Router combo from Comcast. It costs more, but you pay for what you get.

Outstanding Modem. Works GREAT. Had a previous SURFboard modem. Got this one because my required Mbps changed.

It picked up after a day with Comcast. Only concern might be not getting the gig upload speed I used to get with the DOCSIS 3.0. Paying Gigabit speed with Comcast and download speed is crazy fast. Seems to be working fine and have not noticed any heating issues.

Getting a 3.1 modem is a good future proofing upgrade or current upgrade to make sure gigabit internet works well for you. I trust Surfboards and this is my third one. No problems so far.

Pros. It's good and fast. Cons. It's too light weight once it fell you're done with this device. Made sure to put it in a safe place as the material is not much reliable.

If all you care about is achieving fast internet speeds, this is great! Heartily recommend, have had no problems achieving the speed I expect from my service. This device has some caveats, however. The pages used for administrative tasks are quite slow. Logging in to the device takes about 10 seconds. Page loads usually take a few seconds. The event log is the worst. It can take up to 30 seconds to load, even when empty. Also, unlike older SURFboards, it does not allow for a remote device reboot via the administration page.

This device was easy to set up. Just plug and play with Comcast. Just make sure you have your account user name and password. Once its synced it takes about 30 minutes to hit all the gateways.

Perfectly fine product, Best Buy is one of the few companies left that are consistent with delivering quality products!

Works great. Save some money and buy your own equipment. This way, when something happens to your modem, you can go exchange it (with the geek squad warranty) and be back up amd running in a day!

So far so good on this modem. Easy setup once Comcast did their thing. Would recommend for anyone with no phone service…simple, easy modem.

Had for couple months and no complaints. Easy to install and set up. Good customer support even though issue turned out to be with my router.
