Was skeptical of mesh system but bought this router/modem and instantly increased speed almost 5x! Thus far haven’t had to touch since install which took maybe 10 minutes through my internet provider. Sorry I didn’t purchase years ago.

Strong and true. Relatively easy to get going (ISP had to provision of course...). When a reboot is required, it comes right back up and keeps humming along. Speed is way more than I need. Very pleasantly impressed with Arris.

    Finally, the right hardware!

As the title states, I finally have the right hardware for my Xfinity Internet Blast 200 service. First, I did NOT have to call Comcast as I did with my old SURFboard SB6190! I simply followed the online directions and I was up and running in approximately 10 minutes! Second, this SURFboard DOCSIS 3.1 Cable Modem works well with my Linksys AC5400 MU-MIMO wireless router. Third, I haven't had any dropped signals on any of my devices, nor have I had to reboot this modem since installation and activation. Lastly, I haven't any buffering during On Demand playbacks or YouTube on any of my wireless devices. With the new laws being put in place early next year (2018), I'm not sure how future proof this is, but for now, I'm getting what I paid for and NO frustrations. Again, this modem is a perfect match for my Xfinity Blast 200 and Linksys wireless router!

As far as DOCSIS 3.1 modems go, it’s a good deal. The 3.0 varieties are still far cheaper though. When switching out the old for this I did see some improvement, but the router made a bigger difference in my case. The dual line out is a cool feature that I didn’t think I’d care about, until I used it. Now, I wonder why more modems don’t offer it.

Well, *that* was simple. I purchased this for an upgrade to my older Surfboard (a SB6183) to get the DOCSIS 3.1 speeds, and verified its support on Comcast/Xfinity. I plugged everything in, downloaded the Xfinity app on my iPhone, entered the MAC address, and in about five whole minutes was back online. Easy peasy!

Bought this modem recommended by store employees. Was informed by friends to get my own and not use cable companies as there's are usually older ones and may not work as well. Not hard setting up. You just have to call the cable company to take off there's and register yours. You may follow instructions or go online. I've owned this product for a couple weeks now and it works fine.

Getting 17-20% more speed than I’m paying for !!

Normally get 10% more speed than I’m paying for, ow I’m getting 17-20%. My old modem just decided to die.. Was also the Arris brand, one down from this model. (SB6190). Paying for 800 was getting 860-880 wired direct, now I’m getting 925 on the low end and have occasionally seen as high as 986. Old modem was not know to have bad latency for gaming as I was based on an intel Puma chipset. This one uses Qualcomm chips and does seem to do better when gaming on my Xbox. The LED’s while similar in arrangement to my old modem the colors once fully connected to my ISP (Comcast) are now different as the download still glows Blue once channels are bonded, but the upload only goes blue when bonded on IPV6. Even set to IPV6 I’m not showing upload bonded, however like with he download, I’m getting 20% better speed than I’m paying for. So overall no complaints at all. Although it does have to Ethernet connections on the back, you can ONLY use both if you ISP has the ability to give you two IP addresses AND of course you have fo pay extra for that.

I get better speeds with Spectrum Internet using this DOCSIS 3.1 modem but modem does tend to get really hot and does get a lot of errors. As far as the errors are concerned I can't pinpoint if its a modem issue or Spectrum line. I would recommend it but use in a OPEN AREA to dissipate some of the heat

I have gigabit speed connection but was getting only 100mbps speed max. After trying multiple modem models (and routers thinking router issue), bought Arris Surfboard modem. Very easy setup and straight away I'm getting 700+mbps speed peak. Glad finally was able to get benefit from what I pay for!

I had one i ordered. I am sure it was a returned one cause it acted like it was activated before and didn't work well. Returned it for another and works perfectly. I run this on my new night hawk x12 wifi 6 router and on my cell over wifi speed are almost 900 mbps. No dropped signal or anything works great. Always have good experience with surfboard models

Owned for over a month and has worked fine at the expected speeds for my internet plan through RCN Astound (200/10 Mbps). Setup was a breeze as I only had to call RCN and provide the serial number. Hopefully the modem lasts many years as my previous, older Arris models.

Really good modem for Cox Internet plans, fast, runs a little hot so make sure to have a fan on it if it lives in a cabinet. Typically get 800 MBPS on the Cox 1gig plan.

Instant speed boost, compatible with WOW

I want to start by saying that WOW cable's website did NOT say it was compatible. But for everything I could find it was the same as the model CM8200 on their list just white instead of black. So I called and after about 10 minutes on the phone with the guy he was able to confirm that it was indeed compatible. Now my old modem, the SB 6141 was having a lot of issues with packet loss and slow speeds. The guy who came to trouble shoot claimed with gigabit internet I would not see over 700mbps due to hardware limitations no matter what I bought. I couldnt believe it. So I started looking and found this one. Easy to set up, activated over the phone and instantly started getting speeds over 850mbps OVER WIFI! Yea so it solved my problem and doesnt have that pesky issue with packet loss. Been dependable so far too, havent had to restart it. No latency problems. No real complaints.
