    Fulfils it's purpose

Bought to upgrade my 10 year old surfboard modem because Comcast recently upgraded all plans in my area and it couldn't get the full speed(maxed at about 130mpbs, when I get 300 now, up from 100 when I first got the old one). Worked perfectly after registering it with them, but not giving it 5 star because in general it's insultingly overpriced for what you're getting. This isn't unique to this modem, they basically all are, and this one is actually one of the cheaper ones. However, you don't need anything super fancy and when it comes down to it, this is basically a super cheap "Raspberry pi" type SoC in a cheap plastic case that should maybe have a retail price of $50, but this was $180. Kinda feels like a scam because they know you need one to get internet, or pay like $10/mo rental fee to your ISP. Still saves you money in the long run, and they know that so inflate the price accordingly.

Needed to replace my 10 year old cable modem and a salesman at best buy told me the Arris 8200 Surfboard was one of the best and would work perfectly for my needs. It was extremely easy to hook up, took me no time at all and so far it works great. What's not to like?

Our internet was driving us crazy...constantly down and always slow. We upgraded to the ARRIS SURFboard modem about 18 months ago and haven't had any issues since. It's powerful and easy to setup/use.

I had an older model Arris and upgraded to this model and couldn't be happier. It has increased both download and upload speeds and added a huge boost while gaming online with both PC and Xbox.

    Worth the Upgrade

Two weeks ago I 'upgraded' our Xfinity download speed to 600 MPs with 1-year contract to keep the rising cost of the connection affordable. Our old Arris SB6190 has worked flawlessly for years at lower download speeds. Since the speed was increased the download speed varied a lot but mostly hung around 105 MPs. As soon as I connected the SB8200 and activated it through Xfinity's online portal we started consistently seeing the speed we're paying for.

Faster than my old SB6190. Getting upwards of 700 Mpbs. Surfboard app doesn't support this device. Redirected to download ARRIS Surfboard Manager which is only available for older Android devices. Ended up having to call Comcast which got me up and running about 20 minutes. You can also use the Xfinity app. All my WIFI devices now up to speed.

Bought to replace my docis 3.0 modem that was dropping connection to Cox daily. Fix the issue and great speed improvements. Kind of bogus that Cox forced this even though my previous modem was certified by cox. At least I didn't have to buy or rent from them too.

Does everything automatically after plugging and setting up our Orbi router. I get about 250+ gbps from spectrum so connectivity is good. However I do have to unplug and replug whenever our Internet service provider is having problems. It does the job well.

Purchased this router to change my xfinity router. My xfinity router always cut wifi and sometimes internet. I upgraded my internet speed already but still has the issue. So i made a research and came out i can get my own router and add a wifi beacon. Never have any issue since then.

I was skeptical if this will work with optimum as the list they provide on their site is for old Models, did try one of those but that kept rebooting. This works well and I am getting speed that I am paying for. This boots very fast compared to other modems.

This model delivers. I have GB service through xfinity. This feeds into my netgear Orbi system. I do regular spread checks and I’m always over 900mb, usually around 930mb.
