Perfect as always
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Been using SURFboards for years! Even back when Motorola owned the label. Never let me down and this is another great product that saves my parents $15 a month vs. having to lease one from the cable company and it is twice the quality as the one they offer.

Wow. This is fast
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It may cost a pretty pennies but wow is it fast. Plus it is future proof! I got speeds faster than what I pay for which is rare. I really enjoy this modem. Easy to use and easy and set up. The dual ports on the back are pointless since only one seems to work at a time.

Excellent but check with ISP for speed cap
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent workhorse modem for up to 1 Gig. Used with both Xfinity and Cox 1G plans. Not sure why, but it never picked up the overprovisioned speeds in excess of the plan (i.e., 1.25G) while others do (Arris S33, NETGEAR CM2000). It’s rated for above 1G so I assume the ISPs throttle it. But excellent otherwise. Years of use with no problems (see, e.g., S33’s overheating).

Arris Surfboards Have Never Failed Me
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Arris create a great product. Ive been using their modems since 2015. Ive only had one modem go out in that time. Their menu is extremely wasy to navigate and if you like the technical details, then you have a lot of information provided by the interface. I was able to self diagnose the modem failure when it happened. Which if anyone has dealt with comcast sometimes can be a drawn out proces just to get a technician there. I recommend this product over anything else.

Great replacement for rented Comcast box
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got tired of paying $11 a month to rent a modem from Comcast. I went on their site and found modems that were compatible. This wasn’t the cheapest option but was one of the ones that others had success with and was able to handle faster speeds. I’ve been using it 3 months and it’s been working smoothly with no issues.

Great piece of equipment
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not a tech person at all - had Best Buy Geek Squad install. No issues at all - great speed - wife and daughter at home for work/school and have no issues at all. Old equipment would fault almost once per day - zero issues since we switched.

Fantastic Cable Modem!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this for a family member to replace their aging DOCSIS 3.0 cable modem and allow them to upgrade to gigabit speeds — and it didn’t disappoint. The modem, I’m told, was easy to set up and is delivering great download and upload speeds with their upgraded internet connection. Great modem!

easy peasy

Works fine
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. No issues just a little weird to set up but that might have been in Comcast number Time Warner or whatever they want to call themselves but after that little hiccup everything is working the way it should

||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was having problems with Internet connectivity with the supplied modem from Spectrum, so did a little research and chose the Arris SURFboard to replace it. Arris Modem 3.1
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent modem. I replaced a 3.0 Netgear modem and almost instantly we noticed a difference. In use with the Linksys Wi-Fi 6 system and using the log download we were able to help our internet provider find an issue in our lines, but that didn't stop the operation of this modem.

Fast Modem but 10Gbps...? Seriously...Arris?
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently upgraded to 600Mbps down and 35Mbps up I had an Arris SB6183 but it could not get over 550Mbps down even though it is rated for 600+. My ISP told me to get a 3.1 modem. There are other cheaper options with 3.1 modems but I decided on Arris due to my past history with them. I am now getting 630+Mbps down and 37Mbps up consistently. Some reviews state this runs hot. I have not noticed any excessive heat issues. All my Arris modems in the past always ran warm. On a side note…Take the up to 10Gbps on the box with a grain of salt. Yes DOCSIS 3.1 supposedly supports up to 10Gbs. However both of the Ethernet ports on the back are only 1Gbit. So if somehow my ISP could bond the two ports with a special device then maybe I could get 2Gbps later on. Even if I could get 2Gbps down from my ISP it would take a large investment on my end to upgrade my Ethernet cables to CAT6a and a new router with 10Gbps ports and my PC with a 10Gbps NIC.
