This modem is awesome!! I can unequivocally say that after owning/replacing multiple Netgear modems over the course a a year. Setup and install was easy and straightforward. Speeds are what I expected and then some. My only wish is that I had purchased this model brand last time I had to return and replace a Netgear product.

After a year I decided to return my Xfinity router/modem because arris came out with this outstanding modem combined with a netgear Ax6 router made a great combination. First thing I found was outstanding speeds higher then when using Xfi modem/ router. Running now for almost a month and working well. Very happy with new setup.

This got rid of my $13 a month modem rental fee.
Also, 3.1! So if gigabit comes to my area, I'm already ready for it!
I've known the name Arris since I was a little kid, always associated the name with Comcast boxes. And it lives up to it! Works perfectly, nice compact and the white color matches my new Google wifi! Perfect combo imo.
Thanks!

Xfinity Wi-Fi started having problems after I agreed to have them improve my speed from 200 mbps to 600 mbps. I found out that they required docs is 3.1 to achieve that speed. Many different pieces of equipment in my home started dropping offline. I purchased this modem and everything cleared up.

This modem is faster than the standard modem you get from Cox or Comcast. Its a plug and play modem i didn’t have to contact the provider to set it up which was nice. Overall, worth the upgraded price.

Needed to replace older Arris DOCSIS 3.0 modem after notice from Comcast it was no longer supported, so decided same brand, only faster was the way to go, a bit of challenge to get Comcast support to change device in their records, not Arris issue, second challenge was getting faster plan from Comcast to take advantage of faster speed of modem, so glad I upgraded, actually Arris support was more helpful than Comcast

Finally upgraded my internet to 600mbps down, but my old modem maxed out around 300mbps. Had my previous Surfboard modem for 10 years, hopefully this one lasts just as long. I am reliability seeing speeds above 600mbps with the new modem, easy setup with Xfinity.

Even though this does not include a wifi access point or phone jack, I never used those from the old xfinity modem that I rented from them. This one provides the speed and was very easy to setup and install. I combined this with a gigabit port switch so that I could spread the connections to other access points.

Bought this to replace an older SURFboard modem for faster internet. Installation was simple, and called Xfinity to update the modem information and was up and running in 10 minutes. Can't be any more painless.

Was easy to connect both cable & power. Takes a few minutes to pull initial firmware from your Cable provider (mine was Comcast). Was easy to get authorized on Comcast's network, getting over 250Mbps.
I picked this Cable Modem because it can support up to 1Gbps and does not have a firewall or wireless access point (I already have a AC3200 wireless access point).

We've had this modem for about a month and have been very pleased so far. Installation was straightforward and the performance has been great. We have Xfinity internet service and are using this, a Ubiquiti EdgeRouter X, and a wireless access point to create an always-on wired home network with optional WiFi.

ARRIS - SURFboard SB8200 32 x 8 DOCSIS 3.1 Gig-Speed Cable Modem - White is very easy to set up. Used it to connect to Comcast, replacing an older customer owned unit. Fast and reliable.

I had my previous modem from my ISP. It seemed to had worked well and the speed was ok. After doing some research I found this modem and what a difference it has made. I went from downloads speeds of around 70mbsp to almost 180mbsp and I no longer have the monthly charge for the modem from the cable company. It was easy to set-up and I think a great deal!

Well, I purchased this modem to replace my old ARRIS SB6190 which served me faithfully... untill it DIDN'T! I never had any issues with it at all, but one day after a rainy day (in California, of all places) I came home to find it, and the LinkSys AC1750 Router I had connected to it, with all lights blinking! Panicked, I disconnected and reconnected everything, reset the adapters, etc., and got my internet back... but for only 20 minuted at a time! So, I ran my Ethernet cable straight from the modem to my computer... with the SAME results!
With the new SB8200, which I find to be a bit pricey, I realized although I pay for 100Mb speeds, I never really got that much with the old SB6190; I was hitting about 60Mbs on average. With THIS new modem and my Router, I hit an average of 110Mbs! (don't tell anyone) All I wanted was what I PAY for. Nothing more, and definitely nothing less! It's only been two days, but I am quite happy with my setup and I hope that it continues to serve my needs!

We needed an modem without a router and our choices were limited. We have a mesh system and cable but the lower end modems did not seem as fast nor did they have more than one ethernet output. I chose this one and, though it is far more expensive, I am very happy with the purchase. It's very fast and perfectly serves our needs.

I recently upgraded to gigabit speeds through my cable provider and needed a DOCSIS 3.1 modem. The SB8200 works perfectly and consistently delivers top speeds. I appreciate the fact that the modem has dual ethernet outputs to support future speed increases. My only gripe is that this modem is not easily available in a black color. Otherwise, highly recommended!
