I got this model as it’s a 3.1. My cable company requires this 3.1 for its 1Gb service. I also am trying to future proof my purchase as this modem is supposed to support multi Gb speeds when they become available.

This is a great modem. I had the same type that last for years. The staff there was so helpful.

If you're in LA, and on Spectrum this device should be supported. Took the tech a few minutes over the phone to get it dialed in but has worked flawlessly since then. Have noticed an uptick in speed since installation.

Up to par for the price. Seemed to work for what I needed.

Love Arris. This is my second one. I would still be using the first one except for a lightning strike that messed it up. Bought this one and works just as good as my first one!

This DOCSIS 3.1 cable modem from ARRIS is a first-class product you will not regret purchasing. Easy setup, and crazy fast. If you've put off upgrading your cable modem, the performance increase alone is worth the money.

I bought the ARRIS Modem to replace my "rented" modem from my provider. The setup was easy and it was up and running within 10 minutes. No problems so far and I am very happy with the product.

I replaced the modem my ISP gave me and I’ve never had to reboot it since. Works great, connects great and keeps me online without having to turn off and power on again over and over.

Easy to setup. Works very well in replacing Xfinity cable modem.

The Arris SurfBoard DOCSIS 3.1 solved many of the annoying issues I was having with my old modem. With the approved providers, it was as easy as plug-n-play. Some providers may require you to call them to finalize the setup process, but thats about it!

Read some bad reviews on this but decided to take a chance on it. So far it’s working good. It’s really fast and I hope it lasts a while.

If you don't know what you're doing and looking for the best modem to get, purchase this one. It's the best Arris Surfboard modem out. Spend the extra money, it's worth it. This one also supports DOCSIS 3.1, so it's future ready. Word to those who don't know. DO NOT use modem/router combos (even the Arris SB ones)! Buy a modem only, and a separate router! I bought this modem to replace my previous Motorola/Arris SB modem (looks almost just like this one). Besides, it was to upgrade anyways.

This is an upgrade version of a modem i had been using for 4 1/2 years. COX told me repeatedly that my old modem was the cause of my internet connection failing on a repeated basis .... well I broke down and purchased this new version. It works great - better than the older version. Sadly, for me however, I spent th money to buy the new version only to find out that it was inept COX technicians that were causing the repeated internet connection failures.

Was easy to set up and works great. Nice small size takes little room on my desk.

Great modem. Had to call my cable company to activate it. Even though the modem is not officially supported by my internet provider, they griped and then activated it for me. The modem is fast, plug and play, and future proof. It already has a new hardware / algorithm set up, so when the cable companies introduce a faster algorithm, the modem is ready to accept it. Overall, paying more now will mean you will have a great product today, which will still be good five years from now. This will save you money in the long run, stave off issues, and give you the good quality, fast internet that you pay for.
