    Got a message from xFinity showing that my old SB6100 series modem does not support my 150mbps package i am paying for. I needed to get a Docsis 3.0 modem. Moved to this model and bam! My internet experience is way better. No more waiting for streaming media to buffer. Great having two Gigabit hardwire ports as well. One for my Wireless router and another for my switch for all of my extra hard wired equipment in the room. Also this is Docis 3.1 so it will be ready for the faster service once xFinity rolls this out to our area.

    I have been using an old Motorola Surfboard , before these became Arris modems. Comcast service tech was surprised I was even getting the download speeds I was with the old Motorola, he said it hadn't been supported by Comcast / Xfinity in years. Finally gave in and was shocked at the constant reliable connection I'm getting. This modem and my Google wifi I have not a single dead zone anyplace in or outside my home. Setup took all of 15 - 20 minutes.

    20 years IT experience. This is #1 modem for Comcast junk modems replacement. Stable, works for years. Just get a surge protector to save from power surges. Also, get a good router to pair with this device. I like TrendNet Wifi6 1800 router. Have IP cameras over the network? Throw away those all in one modem and routers!!! Use separate devices to avoid things not working for no reason
