Speed up your data channels with a 3.1 modem like the Arris surfboard 32x8 docsis 3.1 cable modem. This modem has 32 download channels and 8 upload channels which means more flow of data. This modem ONLY does internet and cable, no voice or phone connection. This modem can handle higher speeds and easily gives me speeds with my 400mbps Spectrum plan. I pair this with my WiFi 6 router to maximize my speed.

Replaced the same modem with the newer 3.1 gig speed. Our streaming has been much worse since then. We had also replaced our router. Unsure what the problem is, and am not blaming this modem, but I can’t praise it. Installation was easy.

I purchased this modem a little over a month ago and it has been working great with a solid connection the whole time. It is a replacement for a different brand of modem that lasted just two years. The Arris has solidified my Spectrum Internet connection and it should last me for many years. I highly recommend it.

I have had many issues with Internet in my area. I was not getting the speed for which I was paying for. I purchased this and a separate router. Since then, I have had no problems. We have upwards of 10 devices connected at a time (gaming consoles, downloads, streams).

This modem will provide a great base for your network and highly recommend. Its great for anyone with cable internet, but not for use with gigabyte. I have used it for quite awhile and it has worked flawlessly. Allows for multiple streaming devices - I have around 25 devices connected with maybe 5 active at any one time - and they all work well. Of course router is an important part of the equation too.

Easy setup - super fast modem. Excellent!! Setup was fast and no issues - plug and play!!

The modem works great, once you get it configured with Comcast. TIP- do not (at least initially) plug another device into the LAN port on the back. I plugged our PS4 into it, along with the new Netgear Nighthawk router, and Comcast couldn’t get it to work. It took my office IT guy to help me troubleshoot the issue and get it configured. Our internet went from (0.1-30 MB/S) up to around 250MB/S. Major improvement!

Fast and reliable. Small and discrete. Does not support mica for RCN cable. Therefore show info on cable network will run out unless you add additional device.

I purchased this router after my internet service provider forced me to upgrade to a DOCSIS 3.1 modem. It's a great standalone modem and allows me to nearly reach the promised internet speeds of my definitely overpriced internet plan. It was easy to set up, and I have no complaints so far. Would definitely recommend if anyone is upgrading to a DOCSIS 3.1 modem.

This modem does what it should, it is fast. I had trouble with my initial modem and had to exchange it for a new one, now so far the connection is solid. My cable provider keeps increasing download speeds for my service and this modem will allow for those future speed increases. If you pair this modem with a great router your service will be very fast. Best Buy is awesome to work with
