Bought as a gift, but have heard no complaints. Set-up was smoother than suspected. Considering other reviews, allow for ample air flow.

This modem improved my ping and allows me to get 1gbs speed over cable due to the docsis 3.1 technology.

It was easy to setup and it really enhanced my internet/TV to the router and the best part it has enough power to last me into the future with upgrades

This unit is promoted to be compatible with the cable service in our local area. It absolutely is as advertised. When calling in to register the modem, it was immediately recognized and easily accessible. Unfortunately, the level of internet service required a different kind of cable to unlock this modem's potential and our neighborhood didn't have that necessary component to maximize this product's capability. Double check details like that before you go out and make a purchase of high speed internet products like these.

I have had many issues with Internet in my area. I was not getting the speed for which I was paying for. I purchased this and a separate router. Since then, I have had no problems. We have upwards of 10 devices connected at a time (gaming consoles, downloads, streams).

Love the stability and performance for 1GB Fiber Service

Does the job, no apparent issues thus far. Easy to setup. Forced to purchase the ARRIS Surfboard cable modem and Nighthawk AC1900 Dual-band wifi router on the same day. Expensive day indeed. The combination of the new electronics solved our issues (no more intermittent service, lag time, disconnects, etc.). The size is fine, but not real crazy about the only color choice of the modem – white. Looks like a kitchen appliance sitting on the shelf next to the bad-boy-looking Nighthawk in our computer room.

Looked at many models and this was the best as far as quality and price. Great deal!

Bought this to replace Xfinity's own modem. Setup was a breeze, it was up and running in less than 10 minutes - and my speeds are even a touch faster now than they were before. No reason to pay a monthly rental fee when you can buy this instead.

Great Modem... fast and solid. I have had Surfboards now for 3 generations of upgrades. So far so good.

Great product but have two issues. The instructions tell you how to activate the device but they are old. Spectrum in my area won’t activate unless you call them. Also, my upload won’t turn blue. Spectrum says my signal is perfect but when I call customer service for the modem they say my numbers are too low for it to turn blue. Speed is fine but for some reason speed now ramps up under use versus my old modem which was 100% speed all the time.

Needed a modem to accommodate gig down and this modem has the 3.1 necessary for just that. Works the way it’s supposed to for months now without any trouble.

Needed a new modem since our speed was upgraded and we were getting kicked off the internet daily with old modem. This was easy to install. We have stayed online since connected. A great price.

This is the third Surfboard I have owned in 20 years. These modems are reliable and dependable and I've never had one burnout or fail on me. I purchased the SB8200 in June 2019 when I moved across the country. The modem is certified and supported on the Comcast xfinity platform. Prior to this I owned a Motorola (Arris) SB6121 which I gave to a relative. The 6121 is almost seven years old and it's still working.
