I like the how small this modem is. It also has the latest Wi-Fi docsis 3.1 for cable speed. Also a reminder. You will have to call your cable company to switch from your old modem. They will ask for the specs. Hope this helps

Was looking to get a DOCSIS 3.1 modem that works with Comcast Xfinity so I didn't have to lease one from them since I already have my own router. This did the job with no complicated setup. Just plugged it in after signing up for the service, waited for it to do its thing, and finished the setup on a computer connected to the network. Supports gigabit Internet, as much as that means in the US.

This has been a great replacement for our Comcast modem. Way less issues and restarts fairly quickly, they also had customer service where I was actually able to talk to someone.

Much better and certainly faster then our old modem provided by our ISP. In fact, when I upgraded our service plan our ISP never even mentioned upgrading our modem/router. Now, I have lowered my bill with the ISP as we are no longer paying rent on an outdated modem . Never again!

Needed a modem to accommodate gig down and this modem has the 3.1 necessary for just that. Works the way it’s supposed to for months now without any trouble.

This is the third Surfboard I have owned in 20 years. These modems are reliable and dependable and I've never had one burnout or fail on me. I purchased the SB8200 in June 2019 when I moved across the country. The modem is certified and supported on the Comcast xfinity platform. Prior to this I owned a Motorola (Arris) SB6121 which I gave to a relative. The 6121 is almost seven years old and it's still working.

Easy to install, powerful, works great; once installed have not had an issue

Used Arris modems for years, they all worked great never a problem with none of them. This SB8200 does the job.

The modem works very well, set up was easy. App for working with it FAILS. Installed both and neither work.

I have the older version for almost 10 years. I decided to replace with this one because Comcast bumped up my internet speed with no additional charge. Also my old one doesn’t go beyond 200Mbps. The new one is future proof as it can go up to 2.5Gbps. Loving it.
