As per recommendation from the Geek Squad, we purchased this modem in order to improve our lagging internet speed. The added bonus was the investment which has now allowed us to stop paying fees to the cable company. We have seen a steady and significant improvement with our speed. This is a little spendy for what it is, but even overpriced its better than giving the cable company atleast $10/month for this. In about a year you are ahead and saving money. This modem allows me to get my full 500 download speeds. Best I found for the money that actually let me get my full speeds as advertised.

This modem let me keep my high speed internet while giving me complete autonomy over my wireless network. This is connected to a TP-Link Archer AX6000

This product is fast to say the least. Purchased due to dwindling performance with previous device. Notice and immediate pick up in data transfer speed. I have 1-3 TVs streaming and 1-3 gamers on Xbox live and never notice any speed difference even when all 6 are going at once. I highly recommend this device to you.

Overall it’s a good modem, especially for the price. Speed is great for it value. Had some issues getting it connected to router but after it was up and going we haven’t had an issue since.

Had to upgrade to new modem with faster high-speed internet connection (WFH made this necessary). Zero troubles on setup. Easy to reboot when necessary. Tells me exactly what is going on with my connection at a glance.

I acquired this modem because we were having trouble with our internet connection, and I wasn't sure if the tech who was dispatched to our house would render a decision that ended with "you need a new modem." In other words, I wanted to be prepared. Turns out the outside wire from the pole to the house wasn't properly installed (how it worked for 3+ years and suddenly didn't I'll never know), and the guy fixed it. BUT, apparently cable & internet providers are moving to a new standard (docsys 3.1) which this modem accommodates. So, I went ahead and kept the new modem--I'll be ready for the update. So far, so good. NOTE, this one DOES have an extra Ethernet port on the back, so you can plug a device directly into it, if you need to--also potentially useful for diagnosing wifi issues, like figuring out if your router is bad or if the internet is down.

Just upgraded from Surfboard DOCIS 3.0 to DOCIS 3.1. What a difference, super fast and smooth. Should of upgraded sooner.

This has worked very well for my computer set-up and internet. The speed is what I needed for what I use the computer for.

I bought this version of the modem recently as my previous setup wasn't getting me the speeds I signed up for. This cable modem gets the job done, though it took forever to activate it with xfinity, but that could be the isp issue and not the devise.

Great! Never has to be reset or anything wrong. Get the doxxis 3.1 is the current standard. Anything less isn’t worth it.

This solved all the problems we had with our internet intermittently cutting out. It replaced a 4+ year-old Surfboard modem. We were happy enough with the first one to purchase this as an upgrade.

Saved our Internet. The replaced unit served its time. Over 10+ years. Solar is having a problem. But hope to resolve soon!

I was having numerous drop outs with my previous 3.0 modem but with the Arris 3.1 the connection is rock solid with great speed.

When you dont want to rent the cable company's modem... Arris covers all the bases... it does the job and they very rarely fail... if they do its YEARS later.

We had a Surfboard SB6141 prior to this, but it started having some connection problems because of congestion and a low channel count. Without upgrading our service or router, the SB8200 has nearly doubled the speed output our devices receive and doesn’t have any connection issues. It will also be able to handle increased speeds easily in the future. Expensive, but has been worth it so far.

If you're looking for a modem that provides great speeds - this is it! The only downside is you have to be in an area where there's a cable company like Cox or Xfinity, and more importantly, an area where they have a gigabit set up.

I have three of these in different locations. This cable modem works great. O issues and easy to set up.

Very fast and reliable modem. In 10 months time you will have paid off the purchase of this modem since you won't have to rent from your ISP.
