Replaced my ISP provided modem and router and it made a world of difference

I had a Motorola 6580 when I increased my speed on my IP and the old modem couldn’t handle speeds above 250. This modem is still in the same class as the old one. It fits the bill for my needs. It will handle speeds up to 10 GB for future upgrade.

My Internet speed is way more faster with this unit! I wish I switched sooner.

Needed to upgrade to ISP supported device, and streaming services kept dropping. My only issue is that I keep losing internet connection for TV, yet I'm still connected on computer. Quick on/off fixes, but a bit annoying.

Got this because I upgraded to 1 gig service worked great for a week got really fast speed for awhile now cable company says they need to run new lines to get my speed back so I’ll see once they have completed the work if I get those really fast downloads again

This modem is everything I expected it to be, performance wise. Due to its large throughput, it actually increased my speed. The only negative comment I have to say is I wish it would be noted somewhere prior to purchase, that you have to have two separate IP addresses in order to use both Ethernet ports, one address for each port. At my time of purchasing this modem, I was under the impression I could use both Ethernet jacks at the same time but that's not the case.

I've always used Surfboard modems for last 15 years, this is my 3rd one. Upgraded to 3.1 docsis so I could upgrade my internet tier, prior SB6190 was still working when I upgraded to the SB8200. This new SB8200 stopped connecting to the internet in less than 1 month, all lights/status indicated all was normal, resets and direct ethernet connection non-functioning. Cox rep came out to check and determined the modem was no longer functioning and we reconnected my old modem. I'm on phone now with Arris due to 2yr warranty and they're being difficult in replacing this modem so I may see if Best Buy will refund me so I may order another SB8200.

Didn’t get better speeds than I pay for but it is rock solid reliable. Haven’t had an issue yet and look forward to hopefully not having to replace it for a long time.

I had the SB6190 but then I got this one because it's even better faster and future ready AND It pays its self off within 1 year and every month after that you'll be saving money by not having to pay modem fees

This is the best you can buy when it comes to cable modems. Buyer beware: This is not a cable modem with built in router. This is only a cable modem. You will still need a router to get WiFi. Overall, this is the best of the best.

Have XFinity, bought this unit after being hit by lightning. Piece of cake to get on line.

After years of renting a modem from the cable company, we took the plunge and bought a modem and router. What a world of difference it makes! We are actually getting the speed we are paying for. This in combination with the erro One router is perfect for our needs.

Easy to install with proper and easy to understand directions. I've used this product for 3 months without any issues and have been able to completely control it remotely and monitor it via my laptop. I highly recommend it!

I purchased this modem from Best Buy on April 17, 2020. I wanted a stronger signal for a combo of modem/router hookup. I owned a NETGEAR nighthawk one peace AC1900 prior to this. It wasn’t working well. I did research and found out it’s better to buy modem and router separate. So I bought an Arris Surfboard SB8200. Bought a Nighthawk AC2300WiFi Router to pair up! Happy I did. Blazing fast! I get a strong signal in all rooms and outside house without extenders. Going to see if I can use it in garage in back.

Easy setup, saved me money on a monthly charge from my internet provider for their modem!
