We bought this to replace the cable company modem when that one finally failed. This is working great so far and we have bought ARRIS products in the past with good results. Recommended.

I had to buy this to work with the Xfinity 1 gig service. A bit expensive. It seems to work ok, but I am not yet getting the download speed that Xfinity reported is being provided to the unit. I still need to play with it and the Orbis that it is connected to. I think that it is probably a networking issue rather than an Arris issue.

Switched from a DSL modem to this Cable modem. Aside from the much faster download and upload speeds this modem has lived up to the reviews. Flawless recieving and transfer to the router. Arris is I imagine one of the best out there.

I always buy Arris Surfboard, when the latest DOCIS comes out.. if ever there was an issue, it has always been the provider...I know..hard to believe right.. Great Product!

My service provider was taking half my bandwidth to run a hotspot in my house. I was forced to buy a modem they couldn't do that too. I actually get my 960Mbps download speeds now. I couldn't be happier

My Docsis 3.0 surfboard modem that i had for years fried on Christmas eve. Thankfully, i was able to run to BestBuy and get in and out on Christmas Eve to replace it. My only complaint with this model is that there are no "feet" to stabilize it, given the venting on the long sides, i don't want to have it laying down. My cats knock it over all the time.

The modem works great. The first on was a DUD ISP could not activate. Return and exchange was great. The second one activated and works great.

I bought this because the one supplied by my ISP had issues with dropping the connection. I can say that this modem has not dropped it yet.

This modem started out promising, however after about a month of operation, it began to drop service - up to 7-8 times a day. It took a while to figure out whether it was the modem or my comcast service, however the modem ran very hot - to the point that I had some concerns about safety. I was able to finally determine that it was the modem so I exchanged it for the Arris SB 6290 (which I've used before at a different location). The new modem solved my connection problems and has been working great (and it's less than half the cost). As far as I can tell, the only advantage of the SB 8200 is the DOCSIS 3.1 instead of 3.0 and the extra port, neither of which is much use for the typical residential or even small business consumer. The more important feature is the 32X8 channel feature, which the SB 6290 has. Best Buy exchanged the modem with no problem (even though I didn't have original packaging). I highly recommend that you set up an account with Best Buy to keep track of your purchases - it made my exchange very easy.

If your service provider delivers their signal through cable (Cox), then you should have this modem in your system. If you are running at higher speeds, this unit handles the signal being provided much better than the box you are charged for from Cox or any other cable internet service provider. Make sure you purchase a DOCSIS 3.1 modem and do not listen to anything a phone technician says or tries to talk you into... they all have no clue and are reading from a script and have never installed any equipment. Buy it from Best Buy and you will be ready for high speed.

Fixed my problem, my internet goes shutting down intermediary, so I replaced my wifi, that was not the issue then replaced my modem, bingo

I was tired of my old Quest Modem and slow internet. Now switching to Arris-Surfboard modem my internet is preforming like it should. No dead spots in my 2600 ft house.

Arris SB8200 was easy to setup. I used it to replace an older modem that limited my internet speed

Our modem died so we had to replace it. We have had luck with Arris, so we bought a faster model. Been pleased so far with its performance.

Replaced my previous WOW modem with this model so I could expand my own MESH WiFi system.

I had to replace my modem during the COVID 19 "Stay at Home" time. I ordered online, picked it up from the store (delivered to the car) and installed. Everything as easy and my download speed is through the roof.

I didn't realize that it was the capabilities of my hardware that was reached. Kept trying to increase the bandwidth I was purchasing trying to get more effective wifi coverage. Was using the rental modem/router. Your IP will let you keep renting an inferior product if you let them. Didn't realize I wasn't being a savvy consumer just because of my ignorance. Saved a great deal of money by slowing the bandwidth purchased monthly and purchasing a new router and a meshed network. Everyone's wireless devices work well together and don't see any slowing even while using streaming devices and cellular devices on my WiFi network. Now, I'm actually concerned about who's on my network (live in close proximity to other houses) and can easily see what's connected. Haven't gone to this visibility to see why I have slowing though. Did have a situation where I was trouble shooting the router and my new meshed network when I had internet connection issues. Found out that it was an update by my IP that was not installing correctly. Required them to do a reset remotely.I went from a rented 8x2 channel modem to this 32x8 channel modem and couldn't be happier. Love it and feel stupid for renting a modem that I could swear I head the dial tone from occasionally. This one is awesome.

This was recommended to me by Best Buy sales person and we bought it and installed it , this was replacing cox modem. Do far so good. I do recommend it
