I was nervous about a new AC game coming out so soon after Origins, but I was not disappointed. Gameplay mechanics are pretty stellar, combat is too. Some of the changes from Origins have made long distance combat a little frustrating, but additional compensation for combat resource management make sniping a viable option.

Love assassins creed games, and this one is great. However, it is tough to have to grind so much to level yourself up

The map is very big, so you'll get your money's worth, but it's very buggy. Given that much of the mechanics are the same between this and Origins, it's strange that there are so many more bugs and glitches. It's also very frustrating, since quests can auto-fail with no real reason why, and a lot of times quests can get locked. If you like being able to see all (or even most) parts of the game, this is not for you as there is way too much left open to chance, since the dialog choices don't really offer you any guidance of what to pick to convey tone the way Fallout or Mass Effect does. Even saving regularly doesn't help - if a quest is locked or auto-failed, reverting back to a previous save often doesn't give you a second chance. It's also very repetitive - all of the tombs look exactly the same and there is really an excessive number of forts. The mercenary system is pretty tedious- it's pretty obvious they're using a random name generator, so it becomes more of an annoyance to kill a bunch of random characters, as opposed to the nemesis system in Shadow of Mordor which it was initially compared to.

Odyssey has taken the best parts of ever AC and mashed them into one! Origins was great and this improves upon it by giving you a choice in protagonist and by let you see all the glory of ancient Greece. This is way different than the older AC games but I believe all the changed were sorely needed and I am glad for the new format. I also appreciate the choice in dialog (reminds me a bit of fallout) and the new quest system. Check it out, most likely you'll love it too

Although this game gets a bad rap because it is not like a “traditional” assassin’s creed, I think it is one of the best. Although I do think it is too long and actually has a little too much content, it is very fun and I never got bored, even after 75 hours.

The game is beautiful and I love how clear the graphics are. You have to do a lot in the game and I enjoy how interactive it is. The one thing I dislike is the saving point, you cannot save a game like you want to when you are in a certain part or area, I wish there was more free range on saving the game.

This is one of the biggest assassins creeds yet. I felt the series was going downhill a little but BOTH origins and Odyssey have really raised the bar. I'm only a few hours in but the game already has me impressed, you can also cater the experience to your liking, so it's great for casual and hardcore gamers.

I feel like I will be playing this game for months. Great content, story well told, graphics are good on PS4 pro.

First off, the graphics are stunning. It really is amazing how well the Assassin's Creed team researches and recreates ancient cities in great detail. I found myself really appreciative of what seems like hundreds of thousands of hours of labor that went into making the game what it is. Really great.

This directly builds uopn AC Origins and improves it. A more streamlined story and nice improvements throughout.

I had a good time with Origins so I was pumped for Odyssey. It perfected everything from the previous game and the story is awesome. The only knock I have for it and I’m most likely in the minority for saying this is the naval battles. I’ve never been a fan of those at all. Loved everything else.

I'm not finished with the game yet but so far I'm having so much fun! This is my first AC game so I wasn't sure if I would like it but took a chance on this and I'm so glad I did. The game is so beautiful and the side missions are great. I love Kassandra too! The only con I've come across is that I've ran into a couple of glitches now and then. One of them hit during a side quest and I had to start it over. So don't forget to save as much as possible.

As a Greek Civ Classicist I am very impressed with the stunning visuals of the Greek world coming to life. The gameplay is fun and there's tons of content. Well worth it even at the full retail price! My only minor complaint would be the loading delay while entering menus even on the PS4 Pro.

Great graphics and great controls. Not stiff like previews games. Map is huge too.

Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed Odyssey came as a bit of a surprise to me as I had written off the series a while ago, around the time Assassin's Creed III released. I think this is a great gameplay update to a series that's been going for 10+ years now. I would definitely recommend this.

Great edition to the Assassin’s Creed collection. I like the theme and timeframe it is set it. I really thought it was well detailed and creative. You can even befriend bear or a lion!! Tons of fun, very interesting storyline and looks great!!

I have played nearly all of the AC series and was worried this would just be a re-skin of previous games. Not so. While the controls and handling of the character are familiar the upgraded graphics and environment keeps everything fresh. Soundtrack, graphics and storyline are all fantastic.

Assassin's Creed games have just been getting better and better! Origins was the first amazing Assassin's Creed game in a while and I didn't think that there would be another Assassins Creed game that would come close to it or beat it, but sure enough Oddysey has managed to do just that.

Like Origins, AC Odyssey has made the transition into a full RPG. This time character choice and dialogue options are added into the AC formula, with the ship battles from Black Flag returning as well. This game is massive, gorgeous, and should keep most people busy for some time to come.

Played Origins Loved it Couldn't wait for this one. The scenery alone is worth playing ODYSSEY. And the game in itself is exciting and based on Historic facts well some fluff thrown in. But a great game to play 4 levels of choice and also a gender choice. Not done yet so far so great!!
