Customers are delighted by the engaging gameplay and compelling storyline of Assassin's Creed Syndicate. Many appreciate the game's setting and the addition of the grappling hook, enhancing the open-world experience. However, some players noted issues with controls and repetitive side missions. While some bugs were reported, many felt that these were less prevalent than in previous versions.

Overall a good experience
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros: - Best movement in all the games, much more smooth. - THE THAMES. Jumping from ship to ship and zip lining from ship masts is a lot of fun, especially when there are enemy ships passing by that you can ransack. The Thames alone is my favorite part of the game. - Way better characters. Arno was half-baked, and the story too predictable. Jacob is hilarious in Syndicate. - Better story also. I sort of care about what's going on this time, not just mindlessly killing like usual. - No co-op. AC games aren't meant for cooperative play, except for the old multiplayer games where you assassinate each other. Those were the days. - The outfits are pretty sick. Especially the customization for gauntlets. - Combat is faster and more involving - Boss battles are about as good as they can get, better than Unity at least Cons: - System takes longer to get used to, mainly because of the soft snap when sneaking - Sometimes you have to farm a bit for resources, but not a lot. - The first boss battle I did was annoying

Fun to a point
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the first time I tried to play an Assassins Creed game, and I thought it was too repetitive and halfway through the game I just quit.

Couldn't get into it.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not my cup of tea, first assasins creed game and I wasn't in to it. I usually play rpgs or first person shooter, this one was kind of boring to me.

Genaric and unoriginal
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you're a dedicated fan of the series this might be a fun title to play but I found it to be a weak carbon copy of the past games.

Return to grace
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is, in my opinion, the best AC game in a long while. The last game I enjoyed was Black Flag, but even then I wouldn't necessarily count that as a full fledged AC game. I saw it more of just a pirate game with some assassin undertones. The last truly great AC game for me was Brotherhood. Syndicate is fantastic. The idea of twin brother and sister assassin's was a great dynamic. I preferred using Evie the majority of the time, as more of her special skills focused on stealth, and that's how I like to play. Still, Jacob was also a great character and just as fun to play as. There's a pretty good story, and you get to meet some great historical characters. Hopefully they can keep this up with the next installment and this won't be seen as a fluke.

Best game of 2015
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. What a fantastic game! Controls are smooth and fluid, engaging storyline, and the unique play style of each lead character is a breath of fresh air to a franchise that has been flagging a bit on the quality control side (PROTIP: Stay FAR FAR AWAY from Assassin's Creed UNITY). Playing the story as twin brother/sister assassins during Victorian London was great- England was recreated in meticulous detail, and the relationships with historical figures was done well and in a believable way. As of this writing I have just completed the game, and I have almost 63 hours invested- that's doing all the optional quests and side-missions, collecting any and all items, and leaving my PS4 on over night once (oops!).

Copy and paste, copy and paste
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's just the same old same old thing. Ubisoft could have done something better but it's no different.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Syndicate could be better since Unity failed hard but for me it was just same as usual Assassin game.

Fantastic game
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The game is really quite good and there isn't much to complain about. Glad they thought of having both a male and female assassin. Turns out it's way more fun to play as Evie as compared to Jacob. The graphics are nearly perfect. Faces and hair still leave a lot to be desired. Gameplay has been refined. Stealth is fantastic. The upgrade system is way better than Unity. The DLC for this game is subpar. I got the gold edition and it really doesn't seem like it was worth the money. I'm 88% done with the game and right now it's very annoying because the only thing I really have left is the annoying repetitive hijack side missions. There are way too many of them.

One of my favorites
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So after Untiy, which was a failure upon arrival but actually a great/playable game a year later, I was surprised to see how much of a gem this game is. Great gameplay and graphics. Great gadgets (added some but missing some). Really cool side missions, can be repativetive (which I like consistency and touches back on the original Assassins Creed). Obtainable platinum trophy. A true underrated master piece. Back onboard the Assassins Creed fan club. Thank you Ubisoft.

Best Assassin's Creed Since 2
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've played all the Assassin's Creed games since the beginning, and I can definitely say this one is one of the best. After last year's Unity fell flat, Syndicate is a refreshing return to what makes Assassin's Creed fun: open world player choice.

Good 'Ol Days of Assassin's Creed Are Back
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'll admit I was one of the few that actually enjoyed the horror that is known as Unity. The only reason is because I dismissed the Assassin's Creed portion of the title and viewed it as its own game outside the franchise. On top of that, I didn't experience any of the bugs that were reported. That aside, this game Comparatively to Unity is definitely an amazing and nostalgic trip back to the good 'ol days of Assassin's Creed. It includes fresh content we've never seen in our Assassin Creed universe: a playable female protagonist, a grappling hook, drive-able carriages, all while being on the new engine optimized correctly and not insanely riddled with bugs and glitches. After hours of play time and only witnessing one hilarious disappearing glitch, I can say from my experience that this game is definitely a VAST improvement over what we all call the flop, Unity. My only gripe, that the mobility system hasn't improved much from Black Flag. I would HIGHLY recommend that if you're reading this review that you go and buy this game when you can. It is definitely reminiscent to Assassin's Creed 2, Brotherhood and Black Flag. PROS - Comical, charismatic and very engrossing main protagonist (Jacob Frye) - Realistic sibling relationship between both Evie and Jacob Frye - Both siblings are charismatic in their own way. - Great Graphics - Playable Female Assassin (Evie Frye) - Carriages CONS - Mobility system hasn't improved or changed much from Black Flag (I really liked Unity's system and they somewhat implemented the same system in Syndicate but it is not the same)

Not my type of game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was only about thirty minutes into the game and I just became uninterested in the game. I thought I would give it try, and it was just not the type of the game style that I like to play.

More Fun than Unity
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Syndicate is a much better AC game than 2014's Unity. The twin protagonists are very interesting in their own unique ways. Combat is much better this time around, the story is engaging and the missions fun. A lot o content is included in this game to keep you busy for a while.

Amazing!!!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I may be partial because I love the Industrial Revolution time period, but this game is FUN!!!! The story, gameplay mechanics and graphics are all top notch! After the Unity debacle, AC is definitely headed in the right direction! BUY THIS GAME!!!!

Another solid offering for the franchise
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is yet another solid offering from the Assassins Creed franchise. Great graphics and a really cool setting, 1800's London. If you enjoy the other games I can say, this is a must have and if you are new this is a decent place as any to start.

Going Back to their Roots
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been a big fan of the Assassin's Creed series for years but I was a little nervous about purchasing this one after Unity came out last year. I didn't like the little gimmicky online features of Unity and I was relieved to hear that Syndicate wouldn't take that path but instead go back to the roots of what made Assassin's Creed such a successful franchise. Syndicate really did have a similar feel in style to the first few Assassin's Creeds which was great to see. Black Flag and AC2 are still my favorite games of the franchise but Syndicate still provided a very fun experience and I was glad to see Ubisoft go back to their old ways and not take the path they did with Unity. I would recommend this to anyone who is skeptical after playing Unity. This game goes back to the roots of the first few AC games.
