Customers are delighted by the engaging gameplay and compelling storyline of Assassin's Creed Syndicate. Many appreciate the game's setting and the addition of the grappling hook, enhancing the open-world experience. However, some players noted issues with controls and repetitive side missions. While some bugs were reported, many felt that these were less prevalent than in previous versions.

Another great game from Ubisoft
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.AC Syndicate brings you to england where you can find a lot of personalities from our history like karl marx, Tesla, charles darwin and others. The gameplay still great and the latest patchs fixed all the bugs.

Very Entertaining
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game has improved a lot following the one right before, Unity. Unity dragged and the storyline bored me. This on the other hand had me hooked first day played. It is played in London, your characters include two twins a male and a female. It is cool to be able to switch between both during gameplay, only thing is you actually have to make sure you use your points wisely and level up on both characters because in some missions you are stuck playing with one or the other depending on the story! Overall great soundtrack, great fight combos, gruesome, bloody and all that great stuff!! 2 thumbs up! Doesn't beat Black Flag but it is up there in its entertainment ;).

Much better than Unity
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The game content is a little bit weaker than previous AC games, but surprisingly this game rarely has bugs, the worst I have had is an NPC disappeared in cutscene, and came back when the cutscene is finished, and an enemy fall into ground in a side quest, just run away and come back it will respawn, and both only happened once. Game play part - it's not amazing, but it's just fun to play. The difficulty is a little too easy though. Overall I will recommend this game to everyone. Even you lost hope to the series with Unity, give it a try when it's on sale, it's much better than Unity overall.

Renewed my faith in AC series
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So let me start off by saying that I have played nearly all AC games except for the Chronicles spin-off and I did not play much of Unity. The most recent entry into the series before this one was AC Unity and at about 5 missions into the game I completely felt both underwhelmed and overwhelmed at the same time, so much so I held off giving Syndicate much of any chance. I am pleased to say that I have been surprised by Syndicate and can see the effort that Ubisoft has made to get back to "what made AC fun". The developer made several remarks regarding Syndicate that they wanted to emulate what made AC Black Flag fun but apply it to this one set in Victorian London. Many of the improvements have been in areas that are subtle but they add up. In Unity they introduced a tedious and boring lock-picking system that just drove me up the wall, but with Syndicate they simplified it by allowing you to open all entry level chests and the advance ones only need experience spent towards it. Some of the other enhancements include things like the zipline, carryover exp (shared between both protagonists), and quick switch for the two characters. As for the story it is pretty decent for AC and if you played the others you know it is heavy on the Assassins vs Templar lore. Another welcome change is the "real world" elements are just cut scenes and no longer missions that feel disconnected and disjointed from the rest of the game. Overall for this game I give it an 4 out of 5 stars as I easily was enjoying my 40+ hours I spent playing and recommend it to any AC fan who was worried that Unity was the new norm.

Love It
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love playing all the AC games. But some of them, I do get annoyed with and just lose interest. However, BLACK FLAG was my all time favorite. But with all the others that followed, they all fell short for me. This latest add on however, Syndicate, is just has good, if not better. Really loving the story, the lay outs, the feel. It truly came together for me. I also haven't noticed any bugging with it which is a plus. Some of the loading time may take a bit longer than wanted, but it doesn't bother me that much.

Best non Ezio assassins yet!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game has a beautiful architectural look of the Victorian age of London! The two protagonists are likable and very exciting to play as. The addition of the grapple gun is fascinating and makes traversing the huge open world much easier! BTW who doesn't want to find criminals with Charles Dickens?! The only reason this game got 3 stars instead of 4 is because of how much of a let down the ending to the campaign was.

Assassin's Creed Fun
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's nice to have Assassins creed returning to the single player experience. I've never been big on the multiplayer, so this was a nice change for me with the last more multiplayer focused games. Really pretty fun game!

Great addition to the series.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This makes up for the atrocity that was Unity. Syndicate has one of the most alive and authentic worlds in the series' history. Tons of stuff to do that actually rewards you for your efforts.

Very Good Overall
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The game is very good. The world is very interesting and keeps you invested throughout. I really enjoyed the two main characters. The controls, while greatly improved over other AC games, can still be a little clunky at time, especially in tight spaces. This lead to some frustrating moments. There are also way to many collectibles. Overall through, I would highly recommend this game to fans of the series.

A Troubling Turn for the Series
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am a huge Assassin's Creed fan. I have played all of the games, aside from the PSP and Chronicle titles. Syndicate is light on plot, has probably the least number of gadgets/abilities since AC1, and has nearly completely abandoned the Animus tie-in. At this point, the Templars seem mustache-twirling evil, and not in a good way. Where is the nuance and conspiratorial themes that we saw in AC2 and Brotherhood? Why are these games turning into historical fan-fiction with famous people crammed into the story? Whereas before we grew to love Ezio and his journey to become an Assassin, what are we getting now? The series has clearly lost its way. That being said, if you like the historical tourism aspect of Assassin's Creed, then Syndicate is a perfect game for you. The atmosphere of London is fantastic and the addition of the grappling hook makes it quite easy to traverse the city. However, I would be hard-pressed to recommend this to anyone who is looking for any progress to the Assassin v. Templar storyline, or is looking for a more substantive game with plot and character development.

AC: Syndicate - A Continuation of the Franchise
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Syndicate is a continuation of what we have already come to expect from any of the Assassin's Creed games in a new setting with some new features tied in. The game takes place in the 1800's in England during an era of the railroad boom, child labor, and the expansion of factories across the country. Evie and Jacob are a brother and sister duo who explore the city and rid it of corruption. As discussed above, the game has the same mechanics where you can stealthily take down people or engage in an all out brawl. Evie favors the former, while Jacob favors the latter which gives a varied approach to how you go about missions. Also included in this is the ability to drive carriages throughout the city, speeding up travel, as well as the ability to recuit your own gang to take on enemies in all out gang wars. I enjoyed the game, but the story wasn't all too interesting for me. I liked doing the side missions with some notable historical figures (Charles Darwin, Karl Marx, etc.), as well as clearing the gang holdouts. Despite the few added features, the game feels just like any other AC game, which may or may not appeal to players. If you're a diehard AC fan, by all means pick up the game. If you're not too interested in the series, it's still a fun ride, but wait for it to go on sale or buy it used.
