Same Old Song, Different Setting

Much of the formula hasn't changed except for switching between 2 main characters. The peak of this series was really in Assassins Creed 2 and Brotherhood. If you love this series, its well worth it. However I would wait for a price drop, we all know its bound to happen sooner or later.
