When purchasing headphones the most important thing are how it sounds for your own ears and is it comfortable to wear. I really like these headphones and would recommend them

i am coming from a completely objective standpoint, and i consider myself an audiophile, well sort of because i have influence with music equipment and all that. i have been looking for a pair of decent gaming headphones for a while now. for those of you that are wondering if there are any other alternatives, the top of the line headphones in the market currently are astro a50, turtle beach elite 800 and steel series H wireless. and i went through all of them to decide which one is the best. the turtle beaches come with all of the power they got to impress the users, and i gotta give it to em. they did impress most of their customers. the only slight issue i had with those is that the ear pads aren't big enough to fit my ears in them. and they are leather. for some reason i never got along with leather ear-pads. other than that. the turtle beaches are amazing. literally they come with a ton of features and the surround sound is just beyond imagination. moving on to steel series H wireless, these headphones king of comfort, OMG. the ear pads are so comfortable and the lightest headphones compared to the other two competitors. sound quality is great but just not loud enough. if they could just bump up the volume a few notches. boom i would have been sold. they come with removable battery. and an extra pack. each of those batteries keep about roughly 19-20 hours ish of charge. which is amazing. and you can charge one of the batteries while playing with the other. last but not the least, the astro a50s, i like these headphones, ear pads are not leather, its like a Velcro ish material which is pretty comfortable, they are light, battery life is about 10 hours on average, sound quality is amazing, surround sound at its best, a little behind turtle beach elite 800 but barely noticeable. one thing i like about these is that the features aren't so hard to learn, setup is super easy. now any of these headphones worth 300 dollars???? thats something you have to decide for yourself. i'd say they are all awesome but just to make it easier, here is a final rundown: if you are looking for better battery life, comfortable headband and earpads, also if having a lower volume is not that big of an issue for you. go with Steel series H wireless. if you are looking for the most features for your buck, top notch sound quality, Active noise cancelling, super hearing mode, decent battery life, also if having a more heavier headphone is not an issue for you. Turtle beach elite 800 is your thing my friend. and if you want a simple setup, great sound quality, comfortable earpads, a more simpler pack is your thing and you are not looking for a lot of features, then go for astro a50. hope this helped, happy to answer questions!

really good quality, it feels very comfortable and stable. sound its amazing and can regulate in multiple ways, i totally recommend this headset.

I love the Astro brand they are for true gamers. Only qualm I had this time was that it's now only for Playstaion or Xbox where as the other wired model " which from 3 years ago which still works today" worked for Playstation Xbox and PC

If your looking for a headset that will separate you from the competition, then this is the headset for you. Yes the price may be a bit high, but over time you will thank yourself for it. I have been using this headset to place all sorts of games, to shooting, sports, videos, music, etc. This headset produces the sound quality you want. And even the very small sounds you can't pick up with most headsets, you do with this one. I recommend this headset all the time to my friends. It's well worth the time and money.

I knew nothing about headsets and bought these for my husband for his birthday. I did my research and went into the store and asked for help from one of the associates. My husband loves the headphones! He mostly play the Star Wars Battle Front game and says it's helpful with this headset because they work like surround sound and you can hear when people are coming up from behind you, or whether they're coming up from the left or right. He said it's great sound quality!

Absolutely blown away with the quality, the comfort and the surround sound with these headsets. Really amazing.

Great sound. Soft feel around ears. But top cushion section broke off after 5 months of use..so I'd recommend buying the insurance.

My husband uses this headset pretty much every night. I don't have to hear his games and he doesn't have to hear my awful tv shows. It's a win win. They fit well around his ears. Great sound quality both for him and the players he's talking to. The first pair lasted almost 2 years before the microphone went out. That is pretty good for a wireless headset. Definitely get the protection plan. No one wants to spend $250 and have it break.

I purchased these headphone after I purchased a competitor's headphones that where very bad quality but cost twice the amount. I took the others back and went with the salesperson's suggestion and they work great!!!

Love the sound and features. However it is prone to freezing where you cannot turn it off making it impossible to use. Must leave on until batteries drain then recharge. Happened 31 days after purchase and Best Buy only has a 15 day return policy. For $300 I expected better than this.

So some minor quirks setting up on my PC. Once I worked through those, updated the firmware for the headphones and the MixAmp, things have been working well.

These head phones are outstanding! My son can now play all of his gaming devices PS4, Laptop, etc.. With one headset! Only downfall is the battery life.

After purchasing the TB Elite 800, I found the leather ear cups were too hot and caused sweating, so I purchased the Astro A50 with the breathable mesh ear cups. In addition, the Astro A50 offers excellent sound quality with better design over the head making it more comfortable than the top of the line TB offering. For me, it seems the only thing I compromised in the swap was the active noise cancellation on the TB.

These headphones are rediculous...the best ever , only downside is cost (Dr. Dre has nothing on these)

Worth every penny. I love my A50s. Good battery life, great sound, and overall good quality.

I used this for my ps4 before I got the xbox one. Never had a problem pairing this. Very simple. I moved to Xbox one and struggled to pair it a few times but then again it wasn't really intended to be used with the xbox but it works great as well. Battery life is long but I think it has to be on to charge which I still am not sure of. Nevertheless, a great headset. Easier for PS4 owners. Xbox requires a little extra work and cords.
