Works with my Xbone, PS4 and PC. I tried the g933, a40 with and without the mini amp, but the a50 is clearly top of game!

Headset would no update from the website or turn off, there is NO cust service for these headsets you have to email them a service request which took them 4 days to answer. I'm sorry but for $300 I want to take to a live person to get my new out of the box not working headsets to help me get them working. To be on the safe side I returned them to BB good thing to because the answer from the service request was to let the batteries drain to zero charge them then try to update again, not what I wanted to hear About $300 headset,

Bought this to use for my PS4. Easy setup and great battery life. It's on the expensive side but it is worth it.

So I picked up a pair of these headsets after having problems with the Sony gold wireless headset. I got a PS4 for Christmas to play Destiny and wanted a decent mic. I have a great theater setup with surround sound speakers and all hooked up to my TV, but I was having trouble hearing on the little mic that came with the PS4. So not knowing much at all about gaming headsets, (I do have a pair of limited edition beats pro) but as for gaming headsets I was pretty clueless. I got to the store thinking I could get a good pair for around 50.00! Imagine my shock when I saw prices as high as 299.99!!! So I walked a round the store, reading the boxes, and asking people which headset would give the best sound quality for games. In the end after about 2 hours I left with the Sony Gold headset. It's seemed to offer the most for the money. 7.1 virtual surround, wireless, and PS4 presets build right into the game. I give my review of the Sony Golds there, so I won't talk more about them here, needless to say I returned them and picked up the Astro A50's and the game, all games changed! Remember I have a good surround sound theater system ( 60inch TV, theater room, sound bar, sub, and surround speakers) but after using the Astro A50's I heard things I have never heard in the games before!! The sound from the Sony Gold's was good, it amplified game sounds well, but the Astro A50's just takes it to another level. The directional sound placement is amazing!!! I literally hear things all around and can tell where they are coming from. It's both exciting and super creepy in scary games! Setup was a breez, I just plugged the headset into the base, plugged the base into the computer and updated the firmware. Then I plugged the base into the PS4 via the included optical cord. The best part is that it charged fully while I played. I plugged in the charging cord into a charger and had a 5 hour gaming session while the headset charged up! As for quality and comfort the A50 headset feels like it is made out of sturdy materials, even though much of it is plastic. It's not that cheap feeling plastic. Comfort wise, these are the most comfortable pair of headphones/headsets I have ever owned! Even though they are heavier than the Sony Gold's they are more comfortable. The Sony Golds' get hot on the ears after about an hour, very hot. I don't normally sweat much, but I felt my ears sweating after wearing them. Also even though the Sony Golds are pretty comfortable, still you can feel them on. My beats pro's HURT!!! there is no other way to say it. The dang things kill my ears/head after about an hour of wear. I would say I have a medium to small head, so you would think headphones and headsets wouldn't hurt, but some do it seems. Now back to the A50's. When I first put them on, I noticed the felt like material on the ear cups felt nice. The headset fit nicely on my head, and after a while, I couldn't feel it on at all. I forgot I had a headset on. These are a great great product, and I definitely recommend them to anyone who is in the market for a gaming headset. and best of all if you have or are planning to get another platform, like the XBOX 1, with a simple attachment will let you use the PS4 version on your XBOX1. Great dolby surround but it can only be used, if your pc or console has optical in capability. The rest uses USB port.

My son loves the headset and says if gives great sound and easy to use no matter which device he is using.

I love my astros they sound so well!!! I dont understand why people don't like them they work fine with me

I bought these as a birthday gift to myself & love them. I will have to say , I had to exchange them because of a battery problem in my 1st pair. I also want to warn anyone that is using a modern wifi router, because it can cause interference with the 5ghz band... just change the channel to the lower spectrum & you should be fine. Also, when you change the channel this can give you less range... Enjoy the awesome sound :)

Very well built headphones. Great sound easy set up. No cheap plastic parts good feel and fit.
